I'm saying that I like shojo where romance isn't the first layer of plot. For instance, Ouran High School Host club, romance isn't the major driving force of the plot, although it's there and it's a huge part of it, it's not as important as other aspects. Same with Perfect girl evolution.

Hahaha yes yes, reading overly romantic shojo causes me temporary bulimia 😛

I like the ones where the guy and the girl accidently kiss and it becomes akward between them then they end up together 😀

For some reason, I think it's cute when the girl has to dress up as a boy at school and winds up falling in love with her class/roommate (usually), who inevitably finds out (fairly early) that she's a girl and then wants to help her hide it.

So far, the only romance shoujo manga that I'm so EMO into are the ones in 1001 Nights, Princess, Doll Garden and Antique Romance

Hmmm..but when I think about it it would probably be the gender switch, often used in shoujo manga. When a girl is pretending to be a boy. It's not realistic but I find it fun. All other cliches annoy the hell out of me 😀 I still read mostly shoujo manga. What does that say about me? I obviously like torture. 😀

I love it when the girl and the guy likes each other. Like, they are so perfect for each other! Everyone else notices except the two. 🤣
