Gokusen Vs Great Teacher Onizuka

I liked GTO more. Onizuka is alot easier to relate to. Society looked down on him. He turned around, gave them the finger and then taught their kids not to grow up like their parents. Powerful message too, "you can be anything you want to be." Characters age lol as you can see murai and friends staring at porn in the middle of class at the end of the series.

GTO FO SHO. If you dont think GTO is better you are a girl or homo.
I think GTO is more to my sense of humor, so GTO.
I'll get back to this when I read Gokusen OTL||

I like GTO more than Gokusen.
it appeals to me more as a guy.
(though it may also be because Shonan Junai Gumi has biased me towards thinking Onizuka is the coolest person ever).
I will turn your name into a synonym for weakness

Ive watched/read the manga/anime/drama of GTO and two seasons of the drama of Gokusen, and personally GTO is better [manga/drama wise] (GTO anime blows). Gokusen Drama is really funny and i liked it alot, but i still think i like GTO better.
Can't read >_<

Why are we even comparing these two? They're nothing alike. Different genre's, different backgrounds for the protagonists, etc. Onizuka has to deal with alot of hate and resistance from his students and his fellow administrators. Yankumi is pretty much accepted by her students after the first couple of chapters and she has the support of all the administrators except for the chairman. Onizuka has been deemed a failure by society while Yankumi is the daughter of one of the most influential, honorable yakuzas and has lived a life of privilege. I fail to see the resemblance here.

I'd choose gokusen over GTO.But idont think they're very similar except for the teachers dealing with delinquents part. The humor in gokusen is better in my opinion and i like yankumi more than onizuka.

I'm kinda curious as to why this is in the shounen/seinen section as Gokusen is josei, but whatever.
I'm not completely familiar with either series. I've seen the 13 episode Gokusen anime in it's entirety and just recently started watching the GTO anime (I've only seen like 8 episodes so far). Both are interesting. I'd give the slight edge to Gokusen at the moment, but that's probably because I haven't seen enough GTO and I have a real love of strong female leads. It's really probably too early for me to judge definitively.

Why are we even trying to compare gokusen to GTO?
I could make a list of differences as long as each of the two mangas are themselves
SOLE similarity: a newbie unorthodox teacher starts teaching at a school.
It's like angel heart and the last arc/file of jiraishin
They seem alike on the outside, but in reality, are completely different.
Everytime someone starts to compare gokusen to gto, I get pissed off.
(OT:, and I regret saying this, I prefer gokusen. I just don't like gto's style)
