my first shoujo would be Koko ni Iru Yo!
not so good, not to be mean though.
IT was Good Morning Call. 🙂 A classic. Its still one of my favorites. Seeing all the crap out there now, i lucked out having such a good manga as my first.
"Man, because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then he dies having never really lived."- Dalai lama

My first shoujo manga was Marmalade Boy, which i love 🙂 , I have seen the complete series: the anime, manga and movie, and it was 😁 perfect!!!!!
I moved to another country and it is very rough for me to get used to it, but since that big challenge I´ve started to read mangas and watch anime, and it makes my days so much more happiers 🤣 . Recently, I bought a pink diary, where I write what mangas I have read and what animes I have seen.

Kanojo wa Uso wo Aishisugiteru is probably the first one I started reading. Saruyama! is the first complete series I read. Going back and looking through my list of completed mangas, I noticed most of the romance manga's I've read have been either Shounen or Seinen. Saruyama! and Moe Kare!! are the only Shoujo manga I've completed.

I hear you say "Why?" Always "Why?" You see things; and you say "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say "Why not?"

My first shoujo manga was either Skip Beat or Anatolia story/Red River
Either way, these manga were fabulous. Skip Beat is on-going while Red river is complete. These ruined shoujo manga for me because when I read other shoujo titles I couldn't help but compare them to these manga. Now I can't read something that doesn't have a plot, character development, strong, believable leads cuz I'll just stop reading. They were really, really friggin awsome. Although now that I've read other manga that might be better, my opinion of them might change. I have to see... 😁

Quote from StarlightDreams
Yea, so what was YOUR first shoujo manga?
Mine? It was Fruits Basket, I kind of regret having that as my first shoujo manga though, wish I chose a better manga. 😐
Mine too! And I totally understand what you mean... Fruits Basket was just too good... first one I seriously read to finish.
