I am a bit confused about Madara and including some names he is supposed to be.
Is Madara Obito(the uchiha boy that gave Kakashi's eye)?
Is Madara Tobi? And who the ...... is Tobi? I dont remember any1 with that name.

Well, so far what is certain is that Madara is Tobi and is Mizukage, and as well was the leader of Akatsuki. I personally don't think Madara is Obito.

Madara is known as Tobi in Akatsuki and known as mizukage to kisame but he join akatsuki late wat makes you think hes the leader? pain was always the one giving orders

Pain is his subordinate (this has been shown in the manga), that is how it works, so he was a leader from the shadows, and probably joined later as a way to be more in contact with the action or to get Sasuke join him (could only do face to face).

Took me freaking ages to find it, but Naruto's mother was from the "former whirlpool country" not the Water country and therefore the Hidden Mist. Chapter 367 Page 11. It's also implied that she grew up in Konoha, so wouldn't have known the Mizukage anyway.

You are talking about the part where Pain's past is shown? Still, we don't know if Madara was already Mizukage in those times. The lines "We share the same goals now Hawk and Akatsuki move as one" meant Madara is in charge of Akatsuki, at least to me.

what i wanna know is to what extent do his abilities go. we know he has control over time and space with his Sharingan, but with that why was he held back by Itachi? shouldn't his eyes have more power than Itachi's?

true enough Itachi was but his eyes were steadily deteriorating through the years. while Madara was still holding strong it seems. so was Itachi's skills really enough to hold the man back all that time? also i don't think Itachi's eyes would be all that useful anymore either since he practically went blind that last battle he had. aside from him transferring skills to Sasuke, i think his eyes are useless as of now.
i think the Kyuubi was referring to Madara in that instance. which could probably be what Minato and Jiraya more or less found out i think. cause from what we've gathered through the chapters it seems an Uchiha has the power to control a Bijuu like the Kyuubi, along with the First as well. so the Kyuubi might have been recalling some memories of an event like that.
