Actually, I and my girlfriend have the same favorite color, we accidentally wear matching color a few times. It's a bit flashy but I don't see any problems with that 😕 especially if it's just a couple date. Oh well, though I don't plan to wear couples T-shirt and I don't think my girlfriend will ever ask me to do it neither but wearing couple T-shirt is not that much humiliating 😐

Quote from The Guy

Also you can't really compare a father's day T-shirt made by a man's daughters with a couples T-shirt.
It's an entirely different scenario with completely different parameters.
Chances are if you would ask your husband to wear a couples shirt or something in public, he would downright refuse. Or at least he should. If not, something is either very good for you or very bad.

I know that it's really not the same. I agree that it is more socially accepted as "manly" to have produced offspring. But if you knew how much his friends teased him about it afterward, you might see why I compare them. None of his friends have children yet and they see it as a weakness and a hindrance: "oh poor you, you got your wife knocked up and now you're stuck with them" or "what are you doing wearing such a ridiculous thing?"

I have to say you're right that he wouldn't wear a couples shirt, at least none of the ones I've found. (I would be scared if he did.) But I feel that if couples shirts were made right, then more guys would be okay with wearing them. Unfortunately they're primarily marketed to girls so are cutesy. The key to a good couples shirt is that the shirts can stand alone and also fit the style of those wearing it, especially the guy. If the male design came first and then the female design was developed around it, it could work. Examples elude me.

lovelyoceaneyes, do you think the one I'm thinking of (in my first post LINK ) is ok? Umm manly enough? I know I should just ask him, but ... I like surprise things >.<;; XD

Also Toto XDD That design is hilarious XDD But I suddenly realized what "female pride" is~ I can't buy that one... >.>;;; But I think he would like it XD But it would be so embarrassing to wear XDD #>.<# But if he bought it for me I would wear it XD (not very often but once in awhile) XD

Personally I think the front of the guy's shirt is okay, but the little characters on the back might be a little too cutesy? But really it depends on your boyfriend. What kind of shirts does he usually wear?

I suppose that is cute?
Not for myself, however, and I my date certainly wouldn't wear one.

I would do him bodily harm if he did.

hmm, good point >.<;;; Actually I don't buy my boyfriend very many clothes... he seems to have a particular taste that I'm unsure of still >.< Buying clothes for guys is hard~! He did buy a t-shirt that says " just ask her ->" from david and goliath~ I think he thinks it is super funny O.O XDD But actually I don't make many decisions.. I always ask him XDD >.<;;

I thought the couple shirt would be cute and fun but mm I can see how it can be too cutesy too. I think he would wear it with me but I wouldn't want to force him... so Valentine's day has passed hmmm but I still like the idea so I will save it for another time XD

Thank you everyone for your help and opinions~! ^^

Raeryn's point about honeymoons is very good too~ I guess it just depends on people and their relationships. I think some ppl dating can be really lovey-dovey too and then after awhile it's not as intense and then they get married they are lovey-dovey again and then later.. it fizzles... but I don't want that kind of relationship~! This is more of a stereotype thing I think~ >.> XDD But who knows? *lovey-dovey forever would be best . * XDD I mean... I think romance is an important part of a relationship~ nods to self
