Taira plays a Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray. Those are some of the best basses around. Don't know if the guy recording uses one though.
sounds like one, might be able to find out if you look up the people that did the music such as tropical gorilla or typhoon24( brainstorm and spice of life respectively) or maybe not
It could be a P bass or a J bass too, because the stingray is modeled after those. Although some come with 3 band EQs.

End of an era... Beck was one of the few manga I could read forever without getting bored or growing tired of it. Hopefully it has a worthy end.

I love beck, although near the end it was kinda drawing out, thank god it's coming to an end (this is just me as I can't read long mangas for a period of time).

Beck its the best music related manga out there too bad the anime wasnt as good as the manga,the songs are awesome especially the ones they released for the manga (i know...music for the manga)...if u havent listened check the Lancre bot at #lurk

So true. A smart, interesting heroine is soooo hard to find, plus she's adorable. I can only think of a couple other female characters I love as much as her. Plus, as with all of the Beck characters, she experiences emotions that real people have, too! Such a nice change from the frequent and annoying fare to be found out there.

Totally. If the ending sucks, I'll be soooo pissed. Though the one thing I don't mind about it ending is that, since I want to buy it in English, it's already long enough to cost me a fortune, and making it much longer would just make it even worse. But I'm still sad that it's ending... 😢

For some reason I kept putting off this manga. I'm not sure why, but I got it in my head that I wouldn't like it for some reason. Finally, I broke down and gave it shot and I'm loving it so far. I'm up to chapter 30 and always looking forward to the next one.
The only real complaint I have is with the art. I guess it's just his style, but it seems a little inconsistent to me. Sometimes the characters will look absolutely stunning, but then sometimes they look like some kind of mutated, gorilla-frog people. The way he draws mouths sometimes is a bit freaky to me too.
Oh well, it's good stuff though.Can't get enough of the characters. I'm off to read more. 🙂

I love the Art. Have no complains about it... since drawing such a long manga is tiresome and takes too much time. Sometimes, to make greater pics (about the shows, for example) you have to draw more simple pics... if the artists didn't do it, they would never finish! Being an mangaka's assistant is toooooo much work! XD
Anyway, my friend recommended me Beck, but he said "you must read the manga before you watch the anime, if not, you won't be able to enjoy the manga as much as it deserves to be..." So, since I didn't finish reading it yet, I haven't seen the Anime, but I'm dyeing to see it! (^__^)
