So what are your guilty pleasures, in reference to manga? What makes you enjoy a manga knowing full well it's not that great?

Rollerblades. I know Air Gear is pretty sucky, but I read and love it. Art has a bit to do with it, but that's beside the point. Having rollerblades to dash around in, grinding on just about anything, flips and all those impossible feats really gets me excited.

Badass female characters, that have much emotion behind them. Short hair makes it so much better, but not necessary. Tenjou Tenge's Maya Natsume, yet again Air Gear's Simca (well at least till she got herself paralysed), Yura (I think) from [m]Psychic Academy/m]. Those are all good examples of okay manga that I much enjoyed more thanks to those charcters.

Yaoi is mine... Or something more specific? Lesse, character wise: demons... Like they mysterious ones that you don't anything about their pasts (cough Sebastian cough Neuro cough). I know it's cliched but still 😃 . As for items... I think tridents are hella cool even though they're kinda lame |D. Just imagine poking someone with those things ^_^ And swords are so not overrated btw.

Yuri. A decent manga will seem superb if the romantic aspects of the plot are between two girls. Case in point, Himegami might not be incredibly original as action manga go, but the fact that it has a significant yuri level makes it appear exceptional in my eyes.

Also, girls who can kick ass. This can make any manga better. I don't know if this is a guilty pleasure though. It's almost a requirement for reading these days.

i just kinda got myself addicted to yaoi mangas, and i love cliche story plots 😃 don't know why, but i do, and i will totally pick up and read any manga if there's a character i find attractive on the cover, that's how i started reading many mangas that i would have originally missed out on

Manga itself is a guilty please... I should be doing something more productive >_< but that would defeat the purpose of my procrastination.

But if I have to choose, I guess I'd go with shoujo one shots. They usually follow the same plot and it's not like they're memorable like longer series, but it's cute, I can't help it~ 🤣

My guilty pleasurea are manga, especially the smutty kind of manga and anime. And once in a while I watch soft hentai.
