Street Fighter! I haven't played that in years. I had it for super Nintendo, but that quit working... I really like that game.
I go away and suddenly the spammers are the mods. Okay, I can adjust to that, but... Gorath?! And what's up with Mam's not being the top poster?

I played all the ones you both listed except Contra and Lost Vikings, never even heard of those! Wait, Contra sounds a little familiar... But yeah, Street Fighter was awesome!!! I loved Sonic, too, we used to play it religiously, haha. There was this one Zombie game, too, it had a really funny name... I can't remember which system it was on, either Nintendo, Super Nintendo, or Sega Genesis...

Zombies Ate my Neighbors? I had it on my Sega Genesis, but I think it might have also been on Super Nintendo.

All this talk of old-school 2D games makes me want to dust off my old consoles and play some good old cartridges... after the traditional blow, shake, and rattle sequence. Maybe some Primal Rage and Super Mario RPG. Of course some Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, and Donkey Kong Country, too. Anyone remember what that side-scroller where there are 3 fighters to choose from on Sega CD was called? Something like Final Fight I think.

Ahhh, I know what game you're talking about, I can even picture it but I can't remember the name for sure... Donkey Kong Country was one of my faves, btw. I have to pull that out and play it sometime.

I loved Yoshi's Island. Haven't found a game yet where a small green dinosaur you can ride and eat turtles with would be so fun.

LOVED Yoshi's Island. Yoshi was my favorite character growing up, so anything with Yoshi in it, I was there. Yoshi's Story was cute, too (for N64).

I was so happy when they released it again for gameboy. They did the same with A Link to The Past. I want to get Final Fantasy: Dawn of Souls. Anyone played that?

No offense to anyone, but I bet I could kick at least half of you around on Smash Brothers. And Need for Speed. Possibly Poke'mon as well.
You probably would win.. 😃 Although with Need for Speed: Underground, I may be challenge.. Since I've finished them all with 'hard'..
I don't really get why people would pick 'easy' with that game.. >.< There's no fun in that.. 🤣
And yes I played Dawn of Souls.. I've finished Final Fantasy I, and I'm somewhere in the middle of the story in Final Fantasy II, since I lost interest..
You can download it to your computer.. That's how I played it too..

I haven't gotten the chance to play it yet... but with all this Final Fantasy talk.. it seriously makes me want to play them all over again right now
