Reading upside down

So a comment in the left or right? poll inspired me to make this poll. I know that a lot of people find it odd that I have no difficulty reading upside down.
I once had the inherent belief that everyone could read upside down without any problems whatsoever. Well now (for about maybe two years) found out that I was wrong. So I want to know how wrong I was.

It's not the easiest thing for me to do, but I can still do it, although most likely not as well as you ^o^

I have no trouble reading upside down but thats cause before at school, a lot of times in class we had to share a text book. So i ended up sitting at the opposite end of the person with a textbook and got use to reading upside down.

Well if the words are like upside-down i can't and tiny, then i don't stand a chance... but if it's like medium size, i can at least see some parts =DD

For me... it varies... as my left eye seems to be going bad and I have yet to go to an eye doctor for it... if it's too small I may have some trouble concentrating and reading it. Other times I may be able to read it instantly. Reading mirrored words on the other hand is fairly easy for me because I have fairly decent visual recognition skills. >_>;

Hmm, reading upside down...
For regular books and stuff, the easy words are ok, but once words start getting to be too many letters, I gotta start spelling it out in my head.

I can read upside (n_n)
I can also read backwards (as in a reflection off a mirror)

I voted "other"; while it's not quite as easy as reading right side up (I'm a very fast reader) it's not exactly a struggle either. I got lots of practice as a kid, since my brother always got the newspaper first and having me read over his shoulder irritated him - but reading from across the table was ok.
I can read mirror-image writing but it takes some effort; same with things that are written right-to-left but the letters are formed normally.
"[English] not only borrows words from other languages; it has on occasion chased other languages down dark alley-ways, clubbed them unconscious and rifled their pockets for new vocabulary."

Its no problem for me...i usually read upside down when i didn't bring my book to school so i read the book from the guy seated behind me. and from that position i read upside down. However reading backwards is a different story i can read backwards but i have a few stops along the way.
However a picture book like manga...reading upside down is a bit hard for me

Ooo i can read backwards/mirrored too but its not very useful since you don't have many situations where u need to.
Heres something i learnt in english class once. When reading, the human brain doesn't look at all the letters in a word but only the amount and first and last letter. So technically people can read jumbled up things as long as the length, first and last letter are kept the same.

One time I was Reading this girl's Book on the bus backwards, she was siting in front of me and I was reading it from the reflection off the window. (the bad thing is I was reading faster then here and I was reading backwards 🙁 )

lol i can read upside down easy, even math problems. but my friends can't comprehend that so whenever i ask to share a book with them, they HAVE to tip the book in my direction. it's hilarious cuz i tip it back and say i can read sideways and they go "NO YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT IT LIKE THIS!!"
@blakraven66: heh ive seen that post before
yeah it was sent to me a long time ago...i think its been in my inbox for about two years 🤣
and yeah when i read upside down its usually with math
