I just felt as if I needed to create a discussion thread although if you have read the manga there isn't much you can discuss but this does make a good place to rant, so rant away people. 😀

Honestly I was blown away when I first read the oneshot back in May. Now I can't get enough of Medaka Box! This is one of the few manga I check every week to read the new release. One of the best mangas that WSJ has now, I'll even go as far as to say that its as good or better then the big 3 (I know that I'll get some haters hating me for my comment but who cares!) Don't get me wrong, I like and read 2 of the big 3. Its just that Medaka Box gets a hook on me every week with surprises that one wouldn't expect while each chapter feels fresh and entertaining. Which sadly I can't say the same for the big 3 every week.
What I can't wait to see is how the student council is going to resolve their problem with the enforcers. I just hope that the leader keeps showing up in the manga after the current ark. I mean the little dude is badass!!! If you don't believe me then take a look at this

This is one manga that let me down bigtime. It started with alot of promise, then it slowly turned into something else, that is very near to the word "trash"

each new chapter doesnt seem t be as funny as the previous chapter, feels like its getting too serious or something, the little " badass" acts like an arrogant, spoiled brat

OH that would be nice, a very good come back in my opinion; If this manga were to add some romance i'd definitely get hooked on this. Because the thought of Zenkichi x Medaka or better yet Zenkichi x Swim team girl. That would be nice =] Akane is a fag he doesn't deserve a woman.

There was that one time she was jelouse because zenkichi was spending so much time with shiranui in catching that dog in chapter 3. But that was the most we got out of it.
I just have to say I found the premise in the oneshot more entertaining. Zenkichi was portrayed as much more of a badass than in the serial, getting his ass handed to him by Akune after all.
Still, I think it is a fun series to read, not brilliant, but hey, who expects brilliance in Jump right?
My favorite scene was the girl on girl action in chapter 12 😳

Sakuya: Yeah the manga is getting too serious/action based. It should focus more on the comedy aspect and character development like it was earlier. I didn't like the swimming team arc either but this enforcer arc just blows. I DID like the new girl FROM the swimming team, the chapter with her and Zenichi(sp?) in the club room together was quite funny IMO and had more of a feel like the earlier chapters did.

What the hell is up with this last chapter? (ch.22)
I don't know if I like the direction this is taking.
A project to create geniuses? And a group of super humans with a seeming superiority complex?
It seems as if this is slowly but surely turning into battle manga.
I liked it much better when it was just a lighthearted comedy/school life manga.
The swim team arc had it's place in the setting and was enjoyable enough. The enforcers arc had it's moments. But the prospect that is set up now seems very out of place here.

Yeah I agree. But lighthearted comedy/school life manga doesn't happen often in WSJ. I don't know if you could count To-Love-Ru in that catergory though. Perhaps.
I wasn't expecting much from this manga when I first started reading it. I love the art though, that's what's keeping me going 🤣 I tend not to drop series like this anyway, even if some of the chapters are boring etc. My curiosity keeps me reading.
I doubt there will be much romance in this series as well. It might be a side story, as are most shounen mangas that have romance in their categories, I tend to notice. I hope i'm wrong though 🤣

Hey cut me some slack, with all the "accidental" guy on guy kisses in shonen manga I've seen let me enjoy this for a bit.
And no I doubt we will see any romance in this thing.
Medaka herself clearly stated she can not belong to any one person (I think).
Though I would like to see even a teeny, tiny bit of romance involving zenkichi, since he's awesome.

I'm disappointed about the direction its taking, and I agree that the one shot was better. It needs less Medaka, more other characters.
Doing nothing is very hard to do. You never know when you're done.
