Recently I have stumbled upon the funniest wikipedia parody yet, the Uncyclopedia.
Vulgar as it is, it is darn funny.
So which is better, Wiki or Uncyclopedia?
[color=green]Life, what would it be without so much wrongs and rights?

Uncyclopedia for a good laugh. But if I actually want to look something up I'd use wikipedia.

Wikipedia is just more useful than Uncyclopedia. Especially when you need to look-up-something-you-just-faked-knowing and that kinda stuff.
Don't waste your time or time will waste you.

Which is better? They're both the same thing. >.> They're Wiki based sites that allow a public audience to update and maintain information. It's the same engine running the two.
I guess for comedic value, Uncyclopedia is better - but for gathering information Wikipedia.
Granted, neither are substitutes for research. 😀 Remember to always check your sources kids! has heard one too many a professor say 'WIKIPEDIA IS NOT A SOURCE!' one too many times. XD

I got that speech a lot too, but then one day, my programming teacher told me that Wikipedia is one of the best sources on the internet -- the other teachers are just too old-fashioned to realize it.

Actually, I agree more with the professors. Its a good source for a starting place - but since anyone can update it there's really no guarantee that' they're right. It's the same thing as Internet sources - you really need to double check who wrote it and cross check it with other sources. So it's not a matter of old-fashioned, but encouraging good research techniques and double checking where your sources are from.

hahah yeah. as long as you use wiki as your only source, you can't trust what you write.
but if you cross it with some other sources, you should be fine.

I've been visiting Uncyclopedia for these weeks because i was kind of bore and they have false stuff that is quite funny XD
I chose wikipedia because i use it more than uncyclopedia 😀 For manga searching, singer searching, etc.

How can Uncyclopedia, a site that doesn't have any intention to be educational or instructive be compared at the same level with an informative site like Wikipedia? Honestly, it doesn’t make any sense to me. If you were asking "Which encyclopedia do you prefer: Encyclopædia Britannica or Encarta?" it'd be OK, since you are comparing two elements that have the same purpose.
Again, how can you compare satirical and trivial site with a serious one? I sincerely don't understand what your intention making this poll is ares6.

I'd have to agree with NeoFireHawk there. The two just aren't meant to be compared with each other.

ok Luis, you don't seem to understand the irony of this. Can't you see the humour? You see both sites are encyclopedia, both sites can be modified by users. One is obviously better than the other, you don't have to point that out. Here lies the irony, uncyclopedia can't be used. 😃 If you still cannot comprehend, PM me.
We are not saying uncyclopedia contains more info than wiki. We are asking, which is better. Some people think it is better when it is humorous, some people think it is better when it is accurate.

Um, I'm not Luis...
And sorry ares6, I didn't understand what you were trying to say. It must be that since irony is heavily dependant on verbal inflection it is kind of hard to identify it in text.
