Hmmm, I've read some American comics before: Fables, 100 bullets(before I dropped it), some of Sandman and a few others. European comics? Not much except for Tin tin when I was a child. After all, there's often the language barrier or if not, the shipping charges which can cost a bomb. And then, there's the cultural context which can make things difficult: I can get most of the talk about individualism but when they start talking about certain issues related to housing, social issues and so on... erm, I probably wouldn't understand it.
I also used to read quite a few Chinese comics as a child, too. Strangely enough, a number of them were quite violent and full of black humor.
However, I do read webcomics heavily and they're created by people from many different countries: USA, Britain, Norway, German, Sweden, etc. Unsure about Asian creators, btw but perhaps so.
Btw, I'm not really into American superheroes 'cos often the women make me.. sigh, the anatomy is often poor and the muscles are often badly done, the stories often very dull and there are too many damn crossovers, too many stories and not enough time for me to check out anything. 🤣 I do think there was this British superhero mag a friend of mine suggested. But meh... I got no time to look at it, either. 🙂

I tend to like the Web Comics (K) better than Manga / Normal Manhwa, and I tend to dislike manhua / EOL.
1st : Web Comics (K)
2nd : Manga / Manhwa
3rd : Manhua / EOL

Meh... As far as I'm concerned it's just another medium to tell a story, like a movie, book, comic (American), Manhwa, Manhua, webcomic, OEL, etc.. It's the story and the art/cinematography/descriptiveness that makes it good or bad.

I treat all comics equally whether they are comic strips or full color graphic novels. The country of origin and variation in formats matters little to me. So long as I am entertained I am happy to read.

Comparing manga and manhwa (and others) is like comparing Korean and Japanese dramas. If that makes any sense to you.

I like that Manwha MCs generally aren't as perverted or dense as their Manga counterparts (probably because of censorship laws, though).
