I want a job in a place with books.

Work at the library. I voulunteer there right now, and it's a pretty easy job. Going to switch to a paid position when I can.

I want to, but first I have to be allowed to. 🙂

easy? Is it? You have to organize the books... and when you're done... they keep coming!!

It's a very small town library, so the number of books isn't that bad. And after a year or so, you get really good at it. Faster than the actual librarians because you do it more than they do.

What would be so hard about organizing books?

I'm still working at a bar but only on Friday nights and sometimes Saturday(but I try to avoid working on Saturdays since there's a lot more work 🤢 )

Monday to Thursday I work as a receptionist in a hotel. I prefer this job since it's easier and the pay is better(any job pays better than working at a bar)

There was another thread like this.... so I'm just gonna cut n paste.

I'm sort of semi-retired.... meaning I don't hold a full-time job anymore.

Project by project basis:
Commercial Photographer / Photo Retoucher / Digital Painter / Fine-Art Giclée Printer / Open Source Software Developement ....

Also into some Forex.

Currently looking for a billionaire old hag so I can do a Ana-Nicole on her. 😁

Previous jobs: Comic store clerk, go-kart track, underpaid lounge musician, small-time ganja dealer, DJ, producer, babysitter, jobless bum.

I worked in a library for half a year and as you say it is easy! The only problem is that I get bored fast so I quit w/e I was doing and move on to the next...

I'm currently working part time at a warehouse, 16 hours a day... from 6am to 2pm I clean the place and from 2pm to 10pm I work with forklifts (even though I don't have a drivers license).

Also I see the many of you are like me, and still don't know what they want to work at. I'm 16, and I'll be starting the 12th grade when summer break is over and I have no clue what I want to be. And I don't see any point in trying to find out what I wan't to be seeing as it will probably wo'nt work out...
So I just do the my best in everything, get good grades and try differrent things!

Well, I already have a job because both my parents work there. I'm a hostess at a restaurant and I'm working everyday till school starts. That's what you get when your parents work in the same place. It's also the fact that my dad's sor of the manager, which means when they're short on people, I'm the they call.

I want to get a job, as I am 16 and it would be a good idea, but i couldnt apply at the beginning of the summer because of moving complications, and now I dont know anyone so I'm too scared to apply in person. 'm such a wimp...

but if babysitting counts as a job, I do that!

I work at Borders... And I dogsit/dogwalk. A lot.

But before, I worked at Convergys...

Trust me. I stopped working there after the fortieth call from some unemployed welfare mother YELLING at me that her child support check hadn't come in the mail. I'm really fine just working in retail for the rest of my life.

And babysitting is totally a job. I know I couldn't do it, even if I tried.

It's easier than you think.... just feed the brats some brandy and they sleep like corpses through the night... easy-peasy-japaneasy!
