Man are there a lot of interesting jobs you guys have...I'm so used to my friends who are all just "salesmen" or work at fast food restaurants...receptions, the pretty basic jobs. But, I guess when you get such a large group of people together, it's bound to happen~!

I'm in my senior year of college, so this will be my last year with half of my job. I work at my university as the Japanese SI (fancy way to say student instructor/teacher aid kinda thing) as well as a private tutor in Japanese on the side. This is like my 5th or 6th semester doing it, too, so I've been doing it for a while. I've even gotten myself a couple translation and interpretation jobs before, as a freelance. Aside from that, I also do alot of freelance art work on the side. Mainly it's small things like personal pictures (draw their character kinda thing), but I've done some work for business including advertisement for DeVry University. I've still got a long way to go, but since is my last year in school (undecided if I'll attend the graduate school I have a scholarship offer for), I'm looking into full-time work and will be putting out heavy-duty applications this coming winter break. Fun times...>.> At least if I decide to go to that graduate school, they'll probably hire me on as a part-time teacher for Computer Graphic Media, or at the very least, they'll let me work with the TOEIC students over there.

I've held two seasonal jobs, one at Chapters and another at Tim Hortons, I got fired from Chapters and I quit Tim Hortons. I don't wanna work during the school year, too hectic.

I want to be a real artist. 🙁 Not someone who just puts a "message" into a flying piece crap on a canvas.

Real artists all die poor.... like me one day 😢

I don't mind. Happy and poor seem to like being with each other.

Oh forgot to say, I work at Domino's (pizza place).

Personally, if I just wanted a job to mess around with, not a career or anything, I'd like to work at a bookstore. Or Goodwill.

Bookstore would be good, esp. if they give employee discounts! 😀 Goodwill could also be cool...but...both are heavily customer service, and I don't like dealing with people all day, all the time. My current job as a church secretary is great, but only 20 hrs/week, thus the need to find another one. The job market is really weird here, though.

I probably wouldn't be able to handle a lot of people, but I think I'd actually enjoy either job. I love books and a discount would certainly come in handy since everyone in my family happen to be a big reader.

As for Goodwill, I also go there a lot and know some of the employees by name, so I wouldn't be that uncomfortable there. Plus, it's only five minutes from where I live, so gas wouldn't kill me!

@ KennEH and Shaggie
My Aunt has worked at Subway, Quiznos, Picadilly, Dominos, Tunks, Cracker Barrel, and... something else. If it has to do with food, then she's worked there.

@Chibilin
My Mama started as a substitute teacher this year and she's now taking over English for a teacher that's transferring. According to her, the class of eighth graders she has happens to be idiots. You've seen Aladdin, right? Well, apparently Genie is actually spelled "Jeni" and and Iego is "Jafaria". When asked to talk about their comedic style and how they differ, one said they're funny and one's a "bard" while the other is a weird blue thing.

I had a job offer to work in a tranportantion company traveling a part of latin america, the pay would be reasonably good and the pleasure of traveling... but for me to accpet this job I would need to drop the mechatronics school I am doing right now... so I am between the cross and the sword

Sighs...sadly yes I have a job I love it but it's not what I wanted to be at all. I work part time as a graphics designer it's fun, great experience. But I always wanted to do fashion designing I was even accepted to a Fashion Institute, but my parents didn't agree to it so my last option was to go my second choice university and study pre-med...such a pain

I wanna be a banker. Bitches love bankers. But in all seriousness, I wanted to be a surgeon, but then i realized it was my life's aspiration to get a Porsche, so i decided on something that I could achieve quicker than 8 years + of school. (Banker). And i'm good at match.

I work for IBM, in their HR department. It's a pretty good and stable job, though when I was in college what I really wanted to be was a film director. But as time passed by I learned to stop being too idealistic and start living in the real world.

And I'm not complaining. I'm doing pretty well here, I can buy stuff I like, I'm pretty well compensated, and they'll be paying 70% of my tuition fee in graduate school a few months from now. I don't see myself staying here 5 years from now, but I do think working for a company like IBM is good stepping stone in my career.

...I also do some freelance translating on the side...which is a pretty nice way to earn extra income.

I'm a system developer... computers have always been my strongest interest so I guess I was bound to end up in that field in some way.

I don't think I want to be a programmer until I die but it'll be ok for a couple of years 🙂

I'm currently a student but I enjoy my student life..

My ambition is to pursue Masters and PHD while I'm still in-service with the Brunei Government. Being a scholarship postgraduate student is actually RICHER than working on a career itself. They get money from their in-service jobs (which their research are actually paid for) and also get incredibly high scholarship money for their 'living support' while studying overseas..getting to met awesome intellectuals...travel and actually afford to rent a House.
So BASICALLY, it's worth to be a student!! 😲

Even now, I'm just an undergrad student but I still received loads of money than most students from my scholarships every month!

Yeah I don't have a clue about what I want to do.

And it's bad times, I have to fill in UCAS at the end of this year and I have no idea what direction i'm heading in.

I currently have a part time job at McD's (amazy init? XD), because i'm poor and need some monies.

I guess thats why I'm anxious when I think about the future. I have no plans, no desires, no dreams to try and fufill. I'm just living life a day at a time.

Which I guess, isn't a bad thing. Meh, lets see what happens.
