I could never babysit. Not good with kids/will not do anything "mean" to them...
Right now, I left the library (was a volunteer so I could say in NHS) so that I could get paid. And being a cashier at a grocery store... Ok, but **** something if I have to wind up there for the rest of my life. Luckily, I'm going to a university as a mechanical engineering major... phew!

I'm looking for a job, and I will take any job as long as I make money.

I thought I wanted to be an engineer, because I am good at technical stuff and it pays well. So I got through two years as a mechanical engineering major... But I just don't want a job where I end up making cars, office chairs, or industrial robots, because I think I hate devices. I can't decide if I like any kind of engineering at all... Ideally I would have a job that would let me travel internationally, in south-east Asia or South America, but would also let me do technical stuff. 😀

Why is it that by the time we hit college, we're supposed to know what kind of jobs we want? I'm not allowed to have one because my MawMaw thinks it would distract me from my studies. Same view on a boyfriend.

Now, I have no idea as to what I want to be when I "grow up".
Don't sweat it, my dad will be 73 this fall & still says he doesn't know what he wants to be when he grows up. 🤣
I'm probably going to have to look for another part time job soon; NOT looking forward to that at all.

lol I have an aunt that says that. Personally, if I just wanted a job to mess around with, not a career or anything, I'd like to work at a bookstore. Or Goodwill.

Bookstore would be good, esp. if they give employee discounts! 😀 Goodwill could also be cool...but...both are heavily customer service, and I don't like dealing with people all day, all the time. My current job as a church secretary is great, but only 20 hrs/week, thus the need to find another one. The job market is really weird here, though.

My dream job is probably a profiler. Or a psychiatrist. Something to do with psychology |D

You don't have to..... nowadays even crappy stick men drawings sell for thousands.... it's like everything I've learned has been for nothing 🙁
Tip.... just splash some random paints on a canvas.... then rent some gallery space and display it.... then hire a French or Italian homeless bum and dress him up in a suit and leather sandals.... pay him to walk into the gallery when there are lots of people and yell flowery language in his native language, praising your crappy artwork for it's "beauty" and "soul".... a large group will soon gather and then there will definitely be some rich turd that will offer to buy it for a few thousand bucks. 🤣

I want to be a real artist. 🙁 Not someone who just puts a "message" into a flying piece crap on a canvas.

I'm a social worker and work currently primary with male prostitutes, junkies and runaways (and yes, I still enjoy yaoi manga a lot although I know how ugly it can be in reallife, thank you).
My goal is to change fields into adult education for cultural and languages studies because streetwork is very stressing on the long run. Therefor I currently save money to start studying for my Master in two years from now (I'm 30 years old then already and 32 when I finish, though). I'm also learning Korean and Japanese, as I would like to move to Eastasia after I finished my further education and my kids finished elementary school (they're currently in 1st and 2nd grade).
Sorry, I'm Late.
