I would have to say Lelouch. I do not really think that it would matter if it was shogi or chess, either. And, here is my reason why:

Lelouch developed a plan to save the entire world (but, he is still an idiot for leaving Kallen like that). L failed to stop Kira. Shikamaru cannot beat his dad, so maybe put Shikaku on here. Ishida has no accomplishments other than sewing. Sorry I do not know who Conan is...

It's obvious Conan(Case Closed) will win. All the rest are from hyped up shounen manga with little imagination. Case Closed actually makes you think a bit! Closest thing to anything intellectual

Of course Lelouch. He's a professional chess player. In both of his series he started it off in the first episode by totally owning in chess. Even if the other characters in the poll were smarter than him, they lack experience.

I voted L, since I'd want him to win... Buth, between him & Lelouch, I really don't know who would...
