Do You Get Depressed After Finishing A Manga?

Title says it all. If it was good enough, I will. All the more reason to go on a hunt for other mangas.
I got depressed after Spirited Away(Movie), One piece(No more chappies to non-stop read!). And when I finished Zero it kinda sucked because the ending was kind of bad, and one of the characters I really liked never got to do what she wanted to. 😛 (No that wasn't some crappy seinen manga.
So, how about you guys?
BTW, nice to meet y'all.
I don't get depressed unless it's a tragic manga and I fell in love with the characters
I do feel a bit empty after finishing the whole series, especially when you get attached to the characters after readin 10+ volumes about them. the feeling of "oh..it ended.." the "it's kind of sad that you'll never "see" the characters of that manga again after the manga ended" kind of feeling
and yes, nice ta meet ya

I hear you say "Why?" Always "Why?" You see things; and you say "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say "Why not?"

I kind of get that when I catch up to a manga. Sad- Then I'm like "There'll be more Chapters!". For some reason when Psyren ended (been reading it since about chapter 100) I didn't feel to upset. I think reading a completed manga gives that moreso then an ongoing manga does.
When Zero ended I was like "Oh **** they're in a sunny field with flowers, ahhhhh" XD. Never a good ending.
I developed a liking to a character in Zero. Bad. 😛
I know, right? All these hot/awesome/nice characters and you never get to see them again! It sucks.

If the manga was really good then I would be half depressed and half relieved. Yeah, it sucks that it's over, but at the same time I'm happy that I finally know everything that is going to happen. The whole time there are little clues that tell you something is going to happen or that one of the characters has a dark past and you just reeeeaaaally just want to know already. When I figure it out I just think "FINALLY!!!". So, i guess it's half good because once I read it again I don't have to worry about driving myself insane asking myself questions. It really does suck though that there isn't anything new to read from the manga.... So, it's half good and half bad that it is finished. 😃

If I read a completed series start to finish in a day or two I feel really bummed, I haven't had time to digest the major plot points! Although if I read it over time like pyren I've already come to accept it by the end.

The period after finishing a manga feels kinda like the anticlimax of the manga.....so yeah it can get depressing. Especially if the climax was so good

Once I'm done, I think "Now what?"
Depends really on the manga and how engaging its content really is - If the manga is poor, I'd not be affected by it in any way.
If your question was about whether I've felt depressed after reading a manga, the answer is yes - but such manga are few.

I tend to get attached to the longer mangas I read, so yeah I usually get depressed when I finish reading a nice long manga that I like.
Then I'd usually go look for simular mangas like crazy or hope like hell for a sequel if the manga is open-ended 🤣
No
Depressed?
I'd rather dropped the title
On the contrary, the end of my favorite long series manga..could make me excited, like doki doki, cry in tears, or surprised. At the end, i just re-play the stories i just finished in my head. Think about it until i got sleep.
Not depressed, but sort of...empty? I dunno, knowing that that's that can be a little sad, especially if I really liked it.
I wouldn't say depressed though.

Like what tactics said, I wouldn't necessarily be depressed but just a little sad that's it's over. I agree with Spirited Away, and also Howl's Moving Castle 🙂 (the book too).
For mangas I've read, Kanata Kara has done that every time I've re-read it. I think there's some sadness out of my own envy too, wishing I could be transported to another fantasy world 🙂
It's really the only manga that I've gotten sad over; it seems to be fantasy stories that do it 😛 (When Immortal Rain ends I'll probably be sad over it too).

it depends...i want to finish mangas, so i read mostly completed mangas tht interest me...but if i really get into the manga and the story...i get lil depressed after finishing it...so its like mixed feelings, i want to finish it but sometimes i dont want it to end lol....cuz thn its over, and it dont matter if i reread it over again like month or year later, after i read the first chapter, i remember almost everything tht happens.
an example would be: Black Cat, when i first finished it, i was happy tht it ended but thn sad tht it ended, i was sad also because i wanted it to end a different way (u kno wat i mean, like we all hav our own way of ending a manga, in our head, we want it to end a certain way) so that is another reason i sometimes get lil sad.

yes. If i really love the manga then when it's over I feel really bad. Yeah yeah say whatever you like, I'm just like that. I just feel this empty feeling or something like that. It's really bad . . .
This happens only in rare mangas that I absolutely worshipped Psyren and Wakusei no Samidare.
