So many manga/anime gone so wrong when they became reoetitive..

If it's boring and repetitive. I'm okay with some repetition, but hell, not the same clichés all the time, like in Kaikan Phrase for that instance.

Sometimes If theres no romance
Don't really care. If I want romance between characters and there's none in the story, I'll look for doujinshi or picture it in my head instead.

If theres lots of gore/too scary/messed up
No such thing.

If the story line goes on forever
If it looks like it will (eventually) go somewhere, then I'll stick with it.

Ditto from above. I'll put up with slow moments if it looks like the series will be rewarding overall.

Most plots are really simplistic at heart anyway (boy tries to get with girl, boy must save world, etc). They're all basically "such-and-so character tries to accomplish such-and-so goal".
Sometimes the ones without an obvious plot are a refreshing break from the norm.

I'm a pretty patient and open-minded person and can put up with a LOT, so encountering one or two of the above isn't that bad. For me to just drop a series, it would have to be an overwhelming combination of several of the above, and that's pretty rare (in my case).

I still don't get it. Why Shaman King and Sakuratetsu messed by the reader. It's not that bad.
