The meaning of the word epic varies in accordance with the context, but generally it confers larger-than-life status on an event, object, deed, entity, or some sequence of these things. A character could be epic through force of personality or through great accomplishments, although usually only characters with forceful personalities perform epic accomplishments. It is worth noting; it is probably impossible to find a truly epic character outside an epic work of fiction. Epic characters need expansive, broad worlds in order to function ... epically.

By your definition, Griffith would be extremely epic.

Although I've never read the Berserk manga, second-hand information and the anime have left me to conclude he qualifies for the title.

Anime only follows the Band of the Hawk arc. Griffith gets even more awesome after that arc when he becomes Femto.

LOL, You know your not supposed to use the word that you are defining in your definition! 🤣

I found that humorous. sry 😀

This is kind of large to be a definition. Someone did call it a definition, but I didn't bother to contradict them. Definitions are statements, that is, one sentence in length.

No no no no no no no..... well, I personally consider Griffth more badass then epic, in a crazy conniving sorta way.

While I agree this guts guy does pull some sorta crazy stuff, remember just how awsome griffith is. He doesn't even need to do anything, everyone realizes how awsome he is, so they all bow down before him. So while Guts gets the asskicking portion of being epic (and ok I agree I love it to) Griffith is the guy who walks into the room, says "I am your god!" and people start worshiping him, how cool is that?

Still Miyamoto Musashi ftw. 😀 He actually lived, and is considered to be one of the best, if not the best samurai(I think) ever.

Kakashi, Kratos (Tales of Symphonia), Kenshin, L, Orochimaru, many others

Basically, the smart people who follow a certain subtle conviction to no end, whether it be good or bad.

How is Kakashi epic?

He developed the mangekyou sharingan by himself and he even has a nickname.

Plus, the way he carries himself most of the time - aloof and carefree, yet always alert as well.
