Just wondering: is anyone here a Mike Shinoda fan? This includes any of his projects including Linkin Park, Fort Minor, etc. I've been a huge Linkin Park fan for a long time now, and I've just recently gotten into Fort Minor.

hahah linkin park is good, but they are not worth the super hype they get...

My friend payed $80 for a ticket to one of their shows...it was insane.

and again, so no one jumps at me, i do like them alot, but i am just saying they are not worth the hype they get.

Mike Shinoda is great. One of the few well known rap artists that can make some good and socially aware music. Too many mainstream rap artists now just dont care about life outside of their inflated egos. That said it would be cool if he was a bit more well known for his rap music rather than just being thought of as that rap guy from Linkin Park.

I dont think they really get that much hype. I guess they are extremely popular, but nobody goes on and rants and raves about how they are totally amazing. In reality the only hype they really get is from the size of their fan-base, and thats pretty much because their music is genuinely good and their style has a very wide appeal.

Well, its not really a Mike Shinoda song, but he's the lead singer in it.

They used to be better in my opinion and now I just don't like them anymore. Maybe my music prefferences just changed but either way Linkin Parks last album didn't live up to my expectaions. I fully argee that they are not worth the hype.

I agree linkin park is much better than fort minor, but minutes to midnight wasn't the hottest album =/ They completely changed their style of music which is depressing and Shinoda doesnt rap anymore.

agreed. Minutes to Midnight was a big dissapointment. They should stick to Nu Metal and rapcore.

I liked most of Minutes to Midnight. Though there were definitely a few tracks that didnt really suit my taste, though I did enjoy The Little Things Give You Away and In Pieces which definitely were deviates of their typical style, though In Pieces a bit less so. The only two sings I really didnt like from the album were Valentines Day and No More Sorrow, the rest were either good, great, or tolerable.

I read somewhere that Mike was the lead singer for one of the songs on the album (and I mean singing and not rapping).

Well I guess that qualifies, but it was a bonus track. Im pretty sure it was on In Between that he sings with Chester as backup on the normal album release.
