Eh highly dependent for me on the categories on which to grade.

I was all for Tifa at first, simply because she's badass. But at the same time I found Aeris grew on me as I played. Despite being rather annoying at first.

I still can't get over the whole 'zomg its a bomb!'

I'm probably going to have to go for Tifa, even if Cloud doesn't seem to agree.

Aeris was annoying in the original game, but she grew on me after watching Advent Children and playing Crisis Core.

You people should have triggered the special events with Yuffie, those where good... even cloud felt like a pedophile against his will 🤣 (after all you control him and made him say such interesting things... and in the next dialog box cloud would "think" Why did I say that?) truly awesome, much better than Aeris, Tifa is a close second place thought...

Aeris has the most heart and head-breaking story, you can't just love her. I would have to agree on her being a bit annoying but after you found out more about her, the love keep growing.
Tifa, her personality made me angry at times. It was like she was always trying to make Cloud go her way, but she didn't make strong atemps to that , I don't know if that came out all right, but I can't put it in better words. It would be like she was really strong physically but quite weak mentally for the most part of the game maybe thats why I like Aeris more, even though that really hot body of her.
Yuffie, I like her, not love. She is a great character, she is funny, she is cool and a tomboy and I like all of those but somehow I can't seem to love her.
Anyways I spend more time in the game trying to get Aeris back than anything else, I even followed hundred of bogus rumors for more impossible for it be real. Me and my brother were quite shocked because after several game hour in our previous life that was the first time one of the main leads ended dead. I even remember that the first time I saw the scene, a tear almost fell all the way from my eyes. Maybe thats why she is my favorite female character in the game.
