Aerith is my favorite of the three. In terms of fighting ability and use in game, Yuffie is definitely the better of the three, but in terms of character, my favorite was Aerith. I like her kind of character. The kind, loving, and bright character. Honestly, it annoys me that of all the characters Square could have killed in any FF, they had to kill my favorite. I cried on my most recent play through (it was my 3rd or 4th time). Damn you Square!! >:-(

My vote also goes to Aeris.

I don't dislike Tifa, but she just didn't impress me with anything. I guess she's the type of character you see too often in stuff that comes from Japan, while Aeris broke the pattern of her type a bit.

And Yuffie annoys me; I don't like that kind of childishness in a character. My type of immaturity is more like... Bordeaux from .hack//G.U.? xD

Pshaw, Tifa kicks more ass than anyone in that game...except Sephy. Cloud comes in cloose second. and I can't help but prefer Yuffie over Aerith because she's just so...boring.

I chose Aerith.

Yuffie's too hype... Tiffa's too bouncy and Aerith is just rigghht.

I had been influenced by my brother to love Tifa and hate Aeris for 9 years, until I recently played ff7 myself.
I find myself adoring Aeris because her sad, sad life. Moreover when her theme starts to play as her Holy Materia falls leaving her lifeless body. Almost cry.
Too bad I haven't got any chance to play Crisis Core to understand her past more.
I like Aeris' attack animation in FF7; jumping around like that and the sound it makes, TONGGGGG.

All that said, I can't easily throw away my love for Tifa that has been implanted in my brain for almost a decade. About Yuffie, she hasn't done anything that impressed me, so no chance.
Alright I'll vote for Tifa , because of her black hair.

I kind of like her...she is energetic and happy...cute and small and she is a ninja

Tifa is just gigantic ugly boobs and Aeris dies 2hours into the game[very early atleast] and i did not care even a little when that whining blond idiot died...if anything i was glad she was gone

Gotta vote Tifa. Not just for usability in game or cause of the bounciness. She's a bad ass. Plain and simple. Yuffie could be bad ass with her ninja skills and Aeris is has good magic skills and some damn useful Limit breaks. But Tifa just brings the hurt in game, in the movie, and pretty much anything she's been. Ya gotta respect the tough chick character
