No, no, amaranthine, it's not a fashion contest. All the captains would have to do it say is: "Oh by the way your soul is not longer connected to you body, enjoy your trip to through the Gates of Hell." Hell, they could even send they're 4th of 5th seat to do that.

I can name three characters from Naruto that can have their head cut off and both of them are in Akatsuki. Hidan and Kakuzu. Kakuzu has 5 hearts man. Also go ahead and cut off Sasori's puppet head when his only actual body is a container. So I am going with Akatsuki. not only for those reasons but the fact as previously stated, Uchiha. There's two Uchiha's in Akatsuki too. Also Pein with the Rinnegan. Oh yeah go ahead and cut Konan's body up too because she can just turn her whole body into Origami. Akatsuki all the way hands down. 😃

Bleach seems, or at least it did before Shippuden, like it was on a much higher power level than Naruto...

But with Naruto's iNuke Jutsu, Itachi's Glimpse'N'die Justus, and that guy who is in 6 bodies and seems to see everything you just never know.

Honestly I think Bleach Captains are stronger than Akatsuki because they seem to be able to use their attacks and abilities much more liberally than Akatsuki can.

But then again I just don't see a Bleach Captain ever beating a Tailed Beast... so IDK

I'd have to go with the Akatsuki, but it is very difficult to compare the two when you have no frame of reference. Like, how do you compare ninja speed to shunpo? And this question is extremely crucial. It might seem like shunpo is unquestionably faster, but you need to put it all into perspective- which are faster in general: ninja or swordsmen? What may seem fast for a swordsman may be childs-play for a ninja. I'm not saying that shunpo is slow, but it could easily be a situation of perspective.

And you have to wonder whether or not it's thirteen versus ten or if it's more of a one-on-one kind of battle system. If it's the former, then it's obvious that the captains will have a huge advantage.

For now, Akatsuki seems like it'd be a better choice simply because it is more versatile. Each captain is powerful, yes, but it's rather specified. It's also specified in Naruto, but there are basic stealth jutsu that can be used, and these can be a huge advantage.

There's also the fact that Hidan and Kakuzu are pretty difficult to kill--especially Hidan.

While the captains don't seem to have a limit on energy, they have to have some kind of physical limit, otherwise they'd be able to fight without stop, which they obviously can't. Yes, chakra runs out faster than their form of energy does, but it seems to me that ninja, in general, think strategy through a bit more before running into things head-on. (Unlike certain captains that we know of... coughKENPACHIcough.) When combining this with the versatility, I'd hazard a guess of the Akatsuki.

But, really, it's impossible to decide 100% without a form of comparison between the two series. (Example: Zaraki's energy compared to Kyuubi's [just for comparison's sake], differences in average speed, stamina/endurance, etc.)

I'd say that they just blow everything and everyone up so that there's nothing left. Really, just think for a sec. Each has their own skills and abilities.

Right now I'm waiting for a Naruto Bleach crossover that could have this... It'd be amusing, wouldn't you say.

Im pretty certain that no one in Akatsuki can even see spirits...so I have to say that the 13 captains would win hands down, I mean everyone in Akatsuki would be dead before they even knew they were going to be fighting anyone. Heck they would never know they were ever attacked because if the 13 captains decide to destroy their souls, they would simply cease to exist.

However if we want to be fair, I would have to say that the overall destructive capabilities of both sides are roughly equal.

Well, they are different..
Put their fighting styles aside, they are in other worlds (or something), how can you compare them?... Maybe the rate of power is different..
