Hmmm well the 13 squad captians have an advantage in numbers. It really depends on who we are talking about fighting. As much as I like Soi Fon, I think she wouldn't win against most Akatsuki. Her sword can kill if it hits the same place twice, but a ninja of Akatsuki's level wouldn't get hit in the same place twice.

I could see most the captains beating Akatsuki, but there are a few who I fell would lose.

I have to say the 13 Squad Captains cause, i do hate to say this, mayuri would do experiment on them and learn all thier attacks before any of them could start the seals for an attack

That's just her shinkai form, we've yet to see her bankai, which all captains, excepting Zaraki, have. So you can't really say Soi Fong would lose since we haven'y seen her at full power.

Not true.

Zaraki may have a bankai since he addressed his sword as "he" in the latest chapter.

Ok I can concede that, since we haven't seen her bankai. But with the information we do have (which is what I based my thoughts on) then what I said still holds true.

both sides got major advantages and issues, and i'd would love to vote for akatsuki, but at the end of the day its going to be 9 vs 13.

numbers don't matter when you have kagebunshin
the shinigami have no defence against genjustu
i think they are about the same speed
akatuki seem to use thier surroundings better and have better tactics
they would most likely be fighting outside the spirit realm so shinigami would be weaker
akasuki may not beable to harm shinigami for lack of reiatsu unless chakra=reiatsu

good matchups include:
deidara vs hitsugaya
hitsugaya vs kisame
itachi vs byakuya
hidan vs zaraki
unohana vs tobi (based on personality(tobi still goofing off))
kakuzu vs soi fon
sasori vs soi fon (no body to hit twise)
yamamoto vs pain
kurotsuchi vs zetsu

nevermind i change my mind, akatsuki got this, i really don't see how the shinigamis would fight against pain.

Well going by how the term KO applies to boxing and other sports with simialr goals, a KO would be a victory, since it implies that you knocked out your opponent.

so the poll is useless because no one knows what the options mean
