Does anybody have any ongoing mangas (or manwha or whatever it is the Korean equivalent are called) that they are currently so engrossed in or invested in that you wish you could travel 2, 3, 5, etc, years into the future just to be able to read those mangas and find out how certain story lines or events are going to play out?

For me currently Bakuman, Kimi no Iru Machi and to a lesser extent Omamori Himari and Nagasarete Airantou fit that bill for me.

I kind of interested to see what sort of mangas engross others, perhaps your sharing will allow me to find new stories that would be of great interest to me too.

Fairy Tail. It's going to get almost as popular as One Piece in a few years. Its already more popular then One Piece was after its first 4 years.

Definitely agree with you... I also want to see how the One Piece storyline will progress, among others.

Personally I want to skip time and read 200+ chapter of One Piece in a row.
I'd like to see what's going to happen next in Octave too, even if it doesn't last for years.
But that's all. I'm not engrossed enough in anything else to be willing to travel in the future hm 😐

I don't think it's fair to talk about the future of manga when only the most popular three get mentioned... there's so many long running popular ones!

Gintama is hilarious. Fairy Tail is always getting better and this new arc (around ch.200) seems really interesting. Kekkaishi is underated but awesome. Negima, Beelzebub, etc, etc. so many and that's only shounen genre. As for which ones will dominate the top 3 for the next decade? Well... One Piece is pretty much set in stone for 10 years, Bleach can go for at least another 5 years or so (on to the Soul King's dimention or whatever Kubo randomly chooses from his hat of plot developments) and Naruto seems like it's heading towards an end but who can tell how long that will take?

So I doubt any of them will be replaced soon.

OP here, I too am greatly interested in One Piece like others in this thread. I just didn't include it because I assumed any of the Big Three would be too obvious.

Shinobi Life reaally wanna know... but I don't read manga that are too extra so I doubt it would go four years into the future...
