A few months? This was when I didn't feel like there was anything worth reading so I would take up another hobby. These days the longest is a week since there are mangas worth reading with regular releases

so during exams you binge K-dramas? sounds like something I do xD when exams roll around, I suddenly marathon a show or something. I just marathoned Beck anime but it's not that long. Have summer finals rolling up this week.

Aside from One Piece, which I skim over most times, I've been on hiatus again for a while. I started Voynich around the time it ended, and that was the first thing in a few years. I seem to play more games now than anything else.

lol, I got tired of manga a while back. Everything I read was more of the same, and to make matters worse, everything I liked would get the setup for the manga out of the way, they they would just stop translating it. Hell, even now everything i enjoy is about 4 months behind at best.

So I fell into fanfiction, people writing interesting stuff in a world that's already established, When its good, its better than most manga I have read, when it's bad, it's still readable. I still don't read as much manga as I use to, I'm so sick of things never finishing, but the few years off let a sizeable stockpile of things pile up and a genre that i never imagined would happen or take off has multiple manga in it now. Not to mention the rise of the world traveler manga.

I took around six to eight weeks off this past year to study for finals and to finish my undergraduate thesis. I think that's about the longest break I've ever taken since I started back in middle school. There's too many good manga out there for me to ever stop reading manga. Anime, on the other hand, I often take months or even years to finally finish certain series.

Longest time was about a year for me, or a couple of months. School got in the way, sadly. 🤢 But now updates are easier for me to read since it's only one chapter and I won't really pick up a new manga to read during the busier times in my life. A lot of the times now I would reread some of my favorite chapters in manga for enjoyment or to get that manga fix I have sometimes.
