I learned that spamming quote trees are really annoying!
While I found them fascinating earlier, I agree with you. (I think this might spark another quote tree, if Bintu and the others see this)
There are times when you will miss what you never had. I wonder how you will find what you so desperately need.

I just learned that some people actually think spamming quote trees are annoying instead of funny. Amazing.
I learned that some seem to consider that our attempts to enlighten the people to further knowledge are a brand of canned meat product.

That's only in the silly system you call a democracy.

Though, in practical application, the truth with the bigger gun wins.

I learned that my mother considers my dream a 'hobby'.
.
Well, unless you make money at it, that's technically true.

Read the post after that one, and the next one (by me, of course). They explain a lot.

That doesn't make my statement untrue, though : |. I read them, if it's something you aim for in your spare time, it's technically a hobby ("an activity or interest which is undertaken for pleasure"). It's not a professional matter, it's just something you're hoping for. That action of hoping would constitute a hobby.

Going to college ≠ hobby.

Daydreaming about a specific one would be, though. It's in line with a person who collects Harvard memorabilia without attending the place. It's a brand obsession.
Actually attending the college would not be.
