I was thinking, after all the manga's and books i've read and all the animes and movies that i've seen
, i've come across some pretty original villians, so the question is who are your top ten Greatest Villians?
Who are your Top 10 greates Villians? and Why
they can be from
Television
Novels
Manga's and Graphic Novels
Animes
Movies
Games
and any other place you can think of.
It would be nice if they are in order but if they are not please state.
The purpose is to find who is the greatest villian of all time.

Top Villains:
Ciel from Kuroshitsuji
Don't know if he counts as a villain, since he's the protagonist, but he does a lot of horrible stuff since he's become twisted from experiencing pain and trauma.
Soujiro from Rurouni Kenshin
Was a good person who was abused horribly. Realized no one was coming to save him and that he had to save himself. Adapted the motto "If you're strong you live, if you're weak, you die". Great stuff.
Light from Death Note
So intelligent and twisted. He's great, because you get to watch turn into the villain, and because he starts out with good (if misguided) intentions.
#1 Best Villain Ever:
The Joker from The Dark Knight
Do I even have to justify this one? He's just great! I love how comfortable he is with putting his life in the hands of other people, knowing they're too good to kill him. And he's always one step ahead.

"In my dream, the world had suffered a terrible disaster. A black haze shut out the sun, and the darkness was alive with the moans and screams of wounded people. Suddenly, a small light glowed. A candle flickered into life, symbol of hope for millions. A single tiny candle, shining in the ugly dark. I laughed and blew it out."

But not just because of his smile.
His utter and complete psychoticness is just so endearing.

The Reaper from batman year two
it was actually one of my first batman comics
reason
he was so scary
i was so scared after reading it that i did not dare to sit on a sofa, sofa chair or any form of chair
unless the back was to a wall
i was like 5-7something and i was not used to such a serious tone in a comicbook lol
took me a long time to get over
akakabuto from Ginga - Nagareboshi Gin
omg was i scared of bears and being around forest, woods after watching that show/reading the manga...i was like 6-7 but if i go by myself in the woods and i hear strange noise...his image still flashes for my eyes
Shiranu [i think that was his name] [genshi shonen ryu] a big T-Rex i was so scared of him lol
Crystal Boy from Space Adventure Cobra same thing he was so scary and badass lol
small list
evil characters that made an impact on me
that scared the shit out of me growing up

These are of course just my opinion...
Manga-
Immortal Rain's Yuca; I mean, his psychosis is just so severe lol. At least, it was in the beginning... we'll see by the end of the story.
Death Note's Light; He kills people thinking it's a good thing!
(that's all I can think of...)
Films-
The Dark Night: The Joker, OBVIOUSLY.
Titus: Aaron; this guy is just so antagonized. When he's in the hands of his enemy he says he wished he'd done ten thousand more evil things. BAD. A$$.
Hunchback of Notre Dame: Frollo; Kind of like Light, I always thought it was so creepy that he thought that what he did was saintly, even when in his song he's practically making a deal with the devil lol.
Psycho: Norman Bates; because he's so damn psycho! 😀
Go to work, send your kids to school;
Follow fashion, act normal;
Walk on the pavement, watch T.V.;
Save for retirement, obey the law.
Repeat after me: I am free.

Joker from dark night and sephiroth with his own theme song.
Phsycopath and the lethal communist.

I believe in letting people do as they wish, as do I myself. Sometimes, of course, what I wish to do is kill them and they do not wish to die. This gives life interest.

My List will be so loooong, since most of my fav chara are Villain =___=
Manga / Anime :
Yagami Raito / Kira Death Note
I know he's protagonist, but he's a true Villain.
Best Serial Killer ever! his ambition, method, and the way of thinking so awesome.....
He could calmly kill his own family without hesitate even for a second.
God for himself. Epic!!
Monou Fuuma * X / CLAMP *
kill his own sister only to make Kamui Shiro suffer? right in front of him? chop her head?
Great! It's what a villain should do!
Sebastian Michaelis * Black Buttler *
Dont be fooled. He is definitely VILLAIN.
Innocently smiling in the middle of bloody room, Brutal murder like a Beast? no, you wrong! It's an elegant murder by the Devil, that just the way Sebastian is.. ♥
A dancing Demon in the splattering crimson.. this is what evil mean..♥
Johan Liebert * Monster *
Obsesif Compulsive Disorder, Possessive toward Dr. Tenma.
Kazutaka Muraki * Yami no Matsuei *
Having psichological troubles? no, he just evil.
manipulate soul of the death, even revive someone who he hate most only to torture him more and more until he satisfied. So classy 🙂
Lelouch vii Britannia * Code Geass *
having a kind reason to turn into Villain.
but didnt hesitate to sacrifice other in order to reach his goal.
smart, epic evil-smile, manipulate everyone... so classy!!
Movie :
Joker (Heath Ledger Version) * The Dark Knight *
He show the other way to have fun.
why so serious? [well, killing is a joke for him, so dont be serious dahlin']
Darth Vader *Star Wars *
what can I say? He's trully evil with a good motivation.
well, in the end, he's the one who change the universe....;.
I'll add more when I have time 😀

While technically there are real historical villains (Cesar, Genghis Khan, Hitler, etc) used for characters, I'm just going to stay on a fictional scale.
The greatest villain ever is without a doubt Dracula. This guy defined the whole good vs. evil ideology. He's been featured in every genre imaginable, in every visual or lyrical context currently in use, and he just continues to be the villain that will not die. The Vampire genre falls in with him.
While Dracula reins the top, there have been others that have touched the tie mark in terms of "the most greatest":
Darth Vader: What is Star Wars without Darth Vader? Nothing. Just a movie of good guy vs. evil emperor. However, with the inclusion of Vader, we discovered he was originally a character of good who became corrupted by evil of the highest levels. His striking features of the black survival suit with helmet as well as that low menacing yet captivating voice makes him a character very difficult to topple from a solid #2 spot.
Street Gangs/Thugs/Army of Evil: This one is kind of a unfair great since it actually involves a variety of characters, not just one that sticks out. What is any criminal boss or crook without his loyal subjects? What is any chaos story without some ruffians going around and causing it? What is any war movie without enemy soldiers? But, without a doubt, these typical non-important characters are perhaps responsible for 95% of all the genres today. I say that makes them a great at the #3 spot.
Wicked Witch of the West: From The Wizard of Oz (1939). Yeah, I know, how did this make the list? Well, remember Dracula? He popularity SKYROCKETED when he hit the big screen back in 1931. Well, if you know your history, the Wizard of Oz was the first major motion picture to feature color film. Margaret Hamilton's performance as the truly evil antagonist has raised the bar for many to follow suit. Even in today's standards I still cannot grasp how evil the Wicked Witch of the West is. Perfect #4 spot.
Sephiroth: We know him. We love him. We hate him. We love to hate him. He has personally defined the evil game villains of today. He has his own song, huge following of cosplay characters, and just the definition of one bad-### dude. His shocking moment of villainy in Final Fantasy VII has sealed his fate as the ultimate gamer villain to surpass. Thus far, nobody has even been close. #1 in gaming and #5 in overall greats.
There is a simple solution to every problem; finding the simple solution is the difficult problem.
