Description
199X, nuclear war has ravaged the planet. From the ashes, gangs have risen to take all the power from world governments. Justice has ceased to exist in this now lawless world. From the sands of a desert, a man appears. His name is Kenshiro, and he is the sucessor to the most powerful martial art in the world, Hokuto Shinken.
This art attacks the foes insides, and makes him explode internally and die in often brutal ways. Kenshiro's goal is to kill the man who kidnapped his fiance, Yuria. A man that he once called a friend, but who betrayed him and left him for dead. Along the way, he makes friends and enemies alike, while protecting those who cannot protect themselves.

Hokuto No Ken has been licensed into my native language and the manga volumes are available in some southeast Asian countries.
I first read this manga 8 years ago, it's practically my first 'seinen, Action' Violent-pack manga!! I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THAT MANGA!!
The art was a bit difficult to get used to but as they say, "Dont judge a book by its cover"..!
The plot, the characters..the dsytopic world that the mangaka is potraying are so....thought-provoking. The cruelty and violence are...I cant really grab a handful of it...you really have to read it yourself! It's very good! Martial art themed mangas arent really my cup of tea but really, this manga is EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD.
If you're looking for a post-apocalyptic Dsytopic + Martial art + Shounen manga, then HOKUTO NO KEN definitely fits the criteria. If any of you are fond of "Soylent Green" or "the Man and the Dog", "Terminator" and other Fall-out post apocalypic movies, seriously, I HIGHLY Reckon you to read this cuz Ken's world is even more UNIMAGINABLY twisted than that!

| Will ANYONE Ever finish the damn thing with outskipping volumes, Volume 04 to 08, i mean Honestly, i read everything in ORDER, how can i read it if it doesn't go in order it leaves 1 battle unfinished and starts one at the finish, and for troy, Guess no one truely Loves this Manga, |

the worst ending ever!!!!!!! truly very idiotic finale. last 3 volumes are pure ****. i can't believe i took the bother of reading them. if you are a fan of this series stop where the anime ended. the manga ending ruined it all for me. my vote before reading it was 10. now i rate it 1.

i like hokuto no ken ALOT and i think its one of my fav manga i have read.
but
some parts like
females are allways in need of help
they r only in the manga to give Ken(aand some other chars) reason to go out and fight
they only function as the princess who cant even whipe their own ass
xpt one female but she gets written out pretty fast
and i guess i should mention that after the first 15-16 vols the "history" is in some parts rewritten to fit in the "new" story
and also reuseing old chars with more scars or more hair(ull know if u read it...) is not that good eighter
hmm
i wonder what i like about it...
it just have that little extra that makes it special |
