Well, I don't generally read yaoi, but I've read some of it to see what all the hullaboo was about. And yes, I would consider that stuff racier than Desire Climax. Desire Climax is also relatively tame in comparison to some of the other smut that's floating around. (I don't think anyone wants me to really go into details)

Like other people says, I recommend desire climax. It was the only memorable manga. S. Mayu's manga... I really hate her manga. I also hate her guys; they all look the same and their eyebrows are almost unibrows. :[

I've read smut..but some of them are just annoying, sort of empty. So it's hard to find one that actually shows more respect for women. Itadakimasu I thought was funny. Try that one. 🙂

Haou Airen was the worst manga series I ever read!!! Nothing but rape and rape and more rape... but the girl fell in love with him before he went crazy and raped her so it's ok. SCREW THAT!!! He was worst than worst and got what he deserved at the end. I actually scared my family when cheered at the end of that series!
But the other ones that Shinjo Mayu has done were not that bad... I especially liked the following;
