I read it before, but the name won't come to me 😔
I know it's not Atashi wa Bambi, though.
It's a one shot, though sorry don't remember name either.

Damn, I knew this shoujo manga that pretty much fits all the criteria, but totally forgot the name. -_-;;
MAJOR SPOILERS!!!
It was about this girl and her 2 male friends, who all had the perfect balanced platonic relationship together. One day, one the the male friends, who was also "gay," had to move away so he secretly asked the girl to pretend to go out with the other guy to keep the female flies away. However, in reality, he had asked the guy to pretend to go out with the girl to keep the male flies away because he was actually in love with her. Blah blah blah, turns out both the guys were in love with her, but she chooses the "gay" guy in the end because he was so considerate of her.

If I had a fantasy self, it'd be a tentacle monster.

If a gay guy would fall in love with a girl, he wouldn't be gay to begin with, but bisexual.
So: no, such a manga doesn't exist.
Um that's pretty unhelpful. I get it that you are trying to make some sort of statement but please, leave it out if you are not really trying to help.
I recommend After School Nightmare

No, base_coat, it seems that they're not examples, unfortunately, although, they aren't bisexual (I will give you that! 🙂 ). 🙁 . I think the one guy only went out with the girl because for some reason or other he thought he couldn't have the other guy.
@NightSwan
FOURTH Bara No Tame Ni. I really believe that guy was gay, not bisexual. He adopted a feminine style for one reason or another because he was in love with his brother and wanted to do anything to help him. He fell in love despite being gay.
@Yenoh
That guy is kinda selfish (or, rather, self-centered), isn't he? Plus, no, if that story was only one chapter, then that story does not fit the requirements the poster was asking for, unfortunately.
Amakusa 1637 might be another but I'm not sure, since the gay guy might be drawn to the currently female identified character because of either her masculine traits, because they are actually a trans man and/or because they are a reincarnation of a male character whom they still innately identify as and they just don't know it.
@StormGust
No, please stop engaging in bi-erasure or homosexuality erasure. Someone is bi if they are sexually attracted to both genders/sexes. It has nothing to do with love. If they are sexually attracted to only males and/or men they are gay. Kthx.
@amaranthine
Yes, actually, amaranthine, I DO think Utopia of Homosexuality is an excellent example of that. It took me awhile to catch on with that, though, but I'll say it, now: So I second THAT one, as well!
@kittenz73
I don't understand who's the gay guy in that story, kittenz73? As far as I can tell, Tsubame didn't go out with Mike because he was sexually attracted to others of the same gender/sex? Or am I missing something? You may be referring to Mike, zirself, but I still don't think that applies to them. Either Mike identifies as a woman because of their past life or they identify as a man but show no sexual attraction to the same gender/sex. (Their relationship to Tsubame in that respect seems to be derived from the same reason his was... maybe a little more but still nothing to do with sexual attraction, anyway....)
(Side note, I don't think I'm posting any spoilers not only because anything I'm passing along seems to be either just character information or information you would see in the summary of the book but also because I haven't had warnings on that score, at least, from the mods, yet if I still am (posting spoilers despite all that) I will happily erase any information that you think may have violated those terms?)
@BaeSooky
What I think is needed for manga like the one you suggested is more warnings for the misogyny and the ** cliches (omg, the cliches!) ** and less for the smut (there's TONS of those, already, after all. 😛 ). I kinda wish I hadn't read all the way through, as I was hoping it would get better on those scores, now, because it never did. The one who does all the compromising as is usual is the girl and if she doesn't do all the compromising, she gets blamed by everyone including her family. And if she expects any compromising in return, same 'difference'. And so it goes with the non-apologies and victim-blaming, as well Sigh. And all that for another manga that doesn't seem to fit. Because the guy I think you're referring to actually appears to be purely heterosexual. Which means that he ONLY likes girls not also likes them. The main male character was bisexual, however. So he liked guys and he ** also ** liked girls. Which, of course, means that still doesn't fit, because at best, it's the complete opposite of what the poster you quoted was saying, namely that the guy thought he was purely heterosexual but discovered he ** also ** liked guys.
