Just a few questions...

Is there any award show you watch?
We all know there's been fraud in many if not all award shows in recent years. But there's still some award shows we follow. As for me, I watch the Academy Awards every year even knowing there were winners that did not deserve to win and nominees that did not deserve any nomination. If Heath Ledger doesn't even get nominated this year I will stop seeing it though.

Do you wish there was an award show created for something new?
It can be anything, I mean honestly they even have the Youtube awards 🤣

And let me just say I didn't even know there was a Scream Award or an American Anime Award show. As for the latter I just saw a few days ago on demand. I understand how the American voice actors can win an award since they lent their voices for the series but when a series wins who does the award go to- the Japanese anime director, or just the North American company that distributes the anime? If it's the latter isn't that kinda unfair 😕

well considering the fact that i don't watch TV, it is normal for me.

I've never seen the point in Award shows.
They are rather boring and people could
just find better things to do with there time
then sit and watch them. They are never
very interesting.

To bluntly point out: Award Shows are meaningless
and rather pointless as well as a waste of tv time.
I'm sure they could find numerous shows to replace
the waste of space that are Award Shows. I
doubt anyone even enjoys them. Most of the time
people that don't even deserve to win an award
actually do win one.

Nope.... never watch em.... unless I happen to be in some government/income tax/utilities building waiting for my number to be called and there's nothing else on the TV.

Most film award ceremonies these days are usually more of a showcase for the amount of Botox, Silicone and overpriced fabric worn by that Paris Hotel person instead of being an actual celebration of the art of film-making/cinematography.

It's not like the awards matter... I liked BraveHeart because of it's script and cinematic qualities, not because it won oscars... I think Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels is one of the all time greats, but you'll never see it on any shortlist.

When it comes to music, most credible artists don't make music with the intention of winning awards in the first place.... so it hardly matters.

Furthermore, the MC's (Master of Ceremonies) at these events aren't even funny. 🤢

...and it's not like I'd ever recognize 99% of the nominees/guests in the first place.... I don't follow Hollywood celebrity careers/culture.

I've only ever watched the Oscar Academy Awards, and mainly just to see what wins the Best Feature Animation and Best Short Animation. I'm mostly interested in checking out the short animations that get nominated.
Though I did eagerly await the Oscars one year, when Pan's Labyrinth was nominated for several awards. I was dying to see Guillermo del Toro walk up onto the stage, but in the end it only won awards in which del Toro didn't go up to recieve (Make-Up and Special Effects, I think...).
Also, I madly hope Ledger doesn't win an award.

I only whatch tv at work, so no. 😀 😎

i would like to watch the raspberry award....too bad they don't air it...

mainly just the oscar & CMA (country music award) 'cause my bro loves carrie underwood >_> ....golden globe, grammy, emmy, people's choice award, american music award - i think they're overrated, especially the AMA, which contains a very deft panel of judges who actually granted an award to the jonas brothers...shudders* i didn't know how bad their voices were until i heard them live 😔

I watch them if I ever remember that they're showing, I can't count just how many Grammy's, MTV, VH1, People's Choice Awards, that I've missed because I had no idea they were on 🤣

Academy Awards and Critic's Choice Awards.

Seems like those are the only two intelligent awards shows on TV. Oh, and sometimes I'll watch the Spike VGA's.
