I tried reading through the thread to see how many people had my name, but seriously, 36 pages? I'm too lazy for that.

My name is Rachel, which means ewe, which sounds like ewwww. But whatever. So I'm a sheep. There are worse things.

You are really from Italy!? Then you and your sister should definitly come to Germany:
http://www.sueddeutsche.de/panorama/artikel/997/55942/
This time there is no self-explanatory chart. The gist of the article: The Germans (along with the Dutch and the Belgians) consider the Italians as the best lovers. And the chart from my last post was based on a poll of a dating agency. So if your sister meets a German she only has to say her name and homeland and he will fall for her :-)

Oh, of course we are the best lovers. Why are you surprised? ^_^

But, seriously, though, I think I WILL move to Germany... everything you say is making me more and more certain of this....

I don't really like the syncopation for my name.

I just don't think a trochee followed by a spondee sounds too good together. I'd prefer either a dactyl or another spondee for my first name. A trochee just sounds like a halt, to me, so it shouldn't be first in my name.

No problem with the names by themselves, though.

Too bad I'm smart enough to figure out the prozent means percent... otherwise I could have made a 69 joke.

Which I did at first, before deleting it...

@shaggievara: Now that you mentioned the 69 percent part, I will translate that too: 69 percent of the Italians consider their fellow countrymen to be the best lovers. Only the Greek are even more self-confident: 77 percent of them voted for Greek lovers.

Surprised? Jealous? Remember: That's just what the Greek think about themselves. You were the ones winning the poll in other countries than your own. But I think if they had repeated this poll (from 2005) in 2006 you would have had problems to win in Germany. After you ended the German Summer's Fairytale on July 4th 2006 no one would have mentioned Italy in any kind of positive way. But there was always the Schumacher-Ferrari factor that repaired the relationship between our countries.
So I absolutely don't want to stop you from coming to Germany, you are more than welcome here :-)

So, we're the best lovers and the best soccer players in the world. What can I say? Two words (or rather, three):

Grosso, Del Piero.

😀

Ash.

(I know...gotta catch em all, right?)

I wish I was at least an Ashton...or Asher. I get really mad when girls named Ashley are called Ash for short. It pisses me off! I'm the real Ash dammit, so stop confusing me! 😐 Like at the thrift store some girl was like, "hey ash come here" And I was like wtf. And the ashley girl was some emo chick. Ash is NOT an emo chick's name! I hate the name Ashley, and I hate emo chicks named Ashley. She was actually kind of hot, but she seemed mad at me for being the the real Ash and not some chopped off, butchered version of Ashley. Plus I'm short...and she probably wanted some tall mysterious emo guy to be her soulmate. Whatever THAT is.

I need to calm down...

On topic: Nice names everyone. Um, yeah.

Be proud to share Ash's name.

And the name "Ashton" sucks. You don't want to be named that.
