I thought for some reason I had finished this manga but I'm going through my on hold list and found it there. Then I remembered there was some issue with the english release of the series or something, the author requested a cease and desist? I'm checking out what's on webtoon right now and I've definitely read that before so now I'm trying to figure out where I might have read it and where I left off because I don't think I turned to mangafox or anything.and I don't think I completed it. Do we know if webtoon is official?

Line WebToon is official license. If you browse the release history there were a few groups that released chapters who didn't have permission. Hence why there was a cease and desist aimed at those groups.

Now as far as I could understand it seems you read the 'Afterword' which either was the end of an arc or the group thought it was the end. Again I'm basing this off the release history.

It "was" completed by the previous group ... however, since the pages were removed from the original site, and there was some sort of battle over if it's complete or not on the page (here on MU), it was locked and set to incomplete until proof is shown.
To my knowledge it is complete, and was completely translated.

Line WebToon the "official" English translations, had sent out cease and desists to all groups working on Naver comics. Which of course groups did that, they stopped (if they were still ongoing) and removed all the work they did per request from Line Webtoon. (Although you could see find them in mangareader sites because you know, they don't care about groups and them getting sued and what not.)

  • Line Webtoons is doing there own translations from the beginning.

The toon Orange Marmalade appears to have a complete fan transition and the approved scanlation chapters confirmed that so i now set that field to "Yes". There should only 8 volumes after all. I remember checking the ending out myself. Maybe.

The Status in the Country of Origin is another function entirely and it concerns the official release. The series ended after 8 printed volumes to my knowledge.
Wiki and Mal agree and we have the cover of Vol 8 up. I assume that someone ether didn´t notice it (on both sides) so i just sent a change request with a link to my argument here and we will see what happens. 😕
