Seinen is my favourite! I like the variety of storylines. ('Cause everybody knows shounen manga tend towards super-hero type action and shoujo tends towards romance.) The heavy themes never bother me. I like them.

I don't pay attention to genre when choosing a manga to read, though. I just know that a lot of my wishlist/reading list is made up of seinen 🤣 But I am also reading or have read quite a few shounen (I like action), and a small selection of shoujo manga - especially the ones that break out of the box and do something new. Even though I'm a girl, shoujo is my least favoured group 😛 Besides josei, which I never read. (I don't read yaoi or shounen-ai either.)

Heh... I agree, that bit gets old fast, but they're not all like that. Tokyo Crazy Paradise, for one, has a female lead who's not like that at all. You might also try W Juliet, Basara, Crimson Hero, or Skip Beat for girls who aren't so pitiful.

I read almost any genre but my favorite would have to be comedy. I just love laughing i guess. other genres i particularly like are seinen and sports.

Anything that doesn't include:

-gratuitous shower scenes within the first few pages
-big things blowing other big things up
-guys aping apes aka "My sword is bigger than your sword."
-doormats (the literal ones are okay)
-walking head concussions

Anything else is a-ok. :thumbs up:

True I never read much seinen before but once I started I found it's great as well but true it is a bit heavy 😛 But I can handle it most of the times anyway 😀

I like romance genres especially if its comedy-romance.

.: I'm a big Shounen reader, although I can read anything that has a dynamic story line and art. Like the Hellsing art, although overall ok, really craps out when it comes to the comedy portion, where as Berserk has a good since of chibi artistry (I <3 puck). :.

I usually look for shoujo. Sometimes, when I'm really bored, ecchi or mature mangas are love. 😛

My favourites are shônen, fantasy, yaoi. A few seinen and funny things, whatever genre they might be as long as they make me laugh.
Gender bender is often stupidly fun.
