Satire usually sometimes science fiction or fantasy. Sometimes horror. But never romance they seem boring plus I don't want read about a woman being whoaed by a man.

I'd recommend Tom Arden's "Orokon" series, if you can get your hands on it. I went through a lot of trouble to find it where I live. xD
Anyway, you said you liked satire, as a first preference. Well, that's not exactly it, but he exploits a lot of the ironies of the fantasy genre, and he's brilliant. So you might dig. xD I did.

You mean those heavy things that are all words and no pictures? Pssh, what are you Battlerenji, a NERD?
Seriously, the last book I've read was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Dropped the series after Goblet of Fire and I started reading the last 3 books about a month ago. It'll be interesting to see how the movies handle that and the Half-Blood Prince.

And nothing on Twilight. Please. We get it. We know it. Let it go. PLEASE! D:
The last week I finished reading a book call "Frozen Fire" by Tim Bowler.
I'm still trying to decide if I like it or not. And that's when you know it's a good book when you're not really sure whether you like it or not.
It's a scary little thriller not really horror.
For the most part I liked it. (:

Thank you for saying that I was thinking about saying that and crushing fan girls hearts I really hate the hype for such a mediocre book.

Well, if you get it, I hope you enjoy and glad to have helped. xD
And oh God, what is Twilight doing in this thread? Even just mentioned, it makes me shudder. I'll go hide under the table now, just to be safe from the horror. Rofl.

The cover of the book looks kinda lame other than that it sounds pretty good may look further into it.

Brian Aldiss - Helliconia, Greybeard, The Greenhouse;
Orson Scott Card - Ender's saga and Songmaster;
Alexei Panshin - Rite of Passage;
Koji Suzuki - Dark water; Ring trilogy;
Douglas Adams - Hitch-hiker's guide to the Universe(? iirc)
Manda Scott - Boudicca
Isaac Asimov - Naked sun
Javier Garcia-Sanchez - Countess Dracula (I think that's the title...)
and of course Dune, Foundation series if you haven't read them etc.
Currently reading Ready-Smith's (or is it Ready-Smith..0_o...) Eye of crow, and so far it's a pretty good lighter read.
