Yea it will change, we will have female robots in the shape of our favorite anime characters

lol that would creep me out.

That reminds me of Chobits...a little. ahahah. All that processed in my mind was "female", "robots", and "anime". >.>;;;
But yeah, the technology has changed sooo much in my lifetime, haha.
I recently played Mario Kart N64 and umm, wow. I felt like I was on crack because of the difference of speed and graphics, compared to Mario Kart Wii. :] Oh, I agree that the cellphone definitely evolved. They're like portable computers now. o.o

I watched this show on Discovery called "2057", and they were discussing how in around 50 years, most modern nations will, if not already, into the information revolution. Everything will be wired and receiving/sending data constantly. Portable interactive holograms are also being developed, haha.

that technology has changed much since the time you were born? And do you think technology will advance much further than our current technology in the next 20 years?

Yeah, it's changed a LOT and continues to change.

When I was born there were no: cell phones, cordless phones, computers, internet (obviously 😛 ), VCRs or DVDs, remote controls for tvs, microwaves (maybe...if they were around, they weren't common), bread makers, copy machines (anyone else old enough to remember the purple "ditto sheets"??), and a whole bunch of other stuff I'm sure I'm forgetting because we all take it so much for granted now.

Also - the two options for fueling a car were "regular" and "unleaded", many cars didn't come with seat belts installed, there was no such thing as an infant car seat, and gas mileage was way, way lower (as were the prices, of course).

Even in just the past 5 or 10 years, technology has changed a lot. If anything I'd say the pace is increasing~

Polite bump.

Definitely. I still remember playing Snake on that standard old Nokia model. So much fun I had. 🤣 And now we have cell phones that are really advance. They can take pictures, record videos, go on the internet, etcetera. D:

Has technology changed since I was born? Yeah.

Look at what's happened to computers and internet in the last 20 years. The first computer I remember was a huge, prehistoric sort of thing, although thought quite small and sleek for when we got it, and families did not have more than one computer a house.
When my dad first got a laptop for work (and he's military, so he got it pretty early on), I asked if I could have one when I go to college. He laughed at me because he thought something even better would replace laptops before then. Maybe he overestimated a little, but it's pretty much standard for every college student to have a laptop, or at least a desktop.
My family first got the internet when I was 8; dial-up obviously and it took forever to load one page. Now, I get irritated when the school internet takes more than a minute or two to download a large file. I can watch entire movies online without having to wait over an hour for it to load.
Instead of floppys, I have three different flash drives, and my oldest (at three or four years of age) is hopelessly small and outdated.

And then there's movies and TV. TVs themselves now have larger screens and take up a fraction of the space they used to.
As for movies, I remember Toy Story being a huge deal because it animated entirly using computer graphics; I'm not sure that had ever been done before, at least not for a full-length movie. And I couldn't tell, but Star Wars III (not five years old) was eligible for "animated movie" awards because almost all the set was entirely computer graphics. In fact, animation done by hands is now considered hopelessly time-consuming and obsolete.
VHS turned to DVD, tapes to CDs, and when even CDs began to take up too much space, mp3 players became the norm. I have a 2gb mp3 player that I can lilterally hide in my tiny fist; and even that is oudated as it was a christmas present two or three years ago.

My parents gave me my first cell phone when I was a junior in high school and it was nice, had a colored screen and everything. My new one has keys that change based on the direction I flip it open. Even just the fact that I had a cell phone and portable phones at home would have been unheard of when I was younger.

And I don't see technology slowing down in the next 20 years.

all si-fi stuff got it wrong
the future may well be a world where most people would live in MMORPG kind of world (simulation) in a lucid-dream like state
and only weirdos; adventurers and the poor would stay in the real world 😀
the idea is funny but the reality is weirder than anything you can imagine

When I was in elementary school, my idea of an electronic device to be turned off during a plane's takeoff was one of those little hand-held electronic games that only have one game. N64s were the gaming system to have. Our TV had a small screen and took up a ton of room. Our computer was huge, heavy and lonely. My dad once spent 30 minutes explaining how an e-mail worked, it was such a novel concept.
Today, I personally have a laptop, a tablet, a Kindle, a cell phone, a Garmin, a flatscreen TV, and three different gaming consoles. The internet is a daily part of my life. I'm connected to an emergency notification system that'll let me know if something happens at my school via text messages. I haven't touched a roll of film in over a decade. I keep in touch with people I met in elementary school using Facebook. I don't call my friends, I text them. I don't even e-mail them anymore, but pm them online somewhere.
Oh, yeah, technology has changed. And while I don't think it'll even slow down, where it goes is completely unknown.
