Hello ~ aAnother noob has decided to join this delicious site.
Well..shall I begin my lifes story..? (rubs hands hehehe..)
I had never thought of myself a fan of manga/anime in general..just specific series but recently I have come to realize that I was lying to myself and that I was not only a fan of manga/anime but was actually fully and completely ADDICTED to it. I am constantly looking for new series to hook myself on to. But after a while it became such a hassle to keep track of all the series I was following. Especially if the series was either on hiatus or was just taking forever to scan. Not to mention the obscurity of some of the mangas that I follow; some are oneshots too. So..I decided to make an account here. 😁 As you can tell by that little anecdote I am a bit (just a tiny, little bit) slow but please bare with me if you bump into me around here. Oh and I babble on and on..not exactly spam but..just kind of long..

I love all kinds of manga/anime as long as it can hold my interest. Although Ive recently realized that I seem to lean towards fantasy and supernatural series such as Silver Diamond, Bleach, D.Gray-Man, Vampire Knight, etc.. But as Ive said I really do like them all..from yaoi to mystery..Only the Ring Finger knows, Death Note, Ouran High School Host Club, etc.. I think the only thing I usually stay away from is bad art..or maybe I should say art that doesnt suit my tastes. (it really doesnt matter if the story is good..it just irks me when the art isnt good/to my taste..example: Captain Tsubasa..I dont even know what its about but I remember being sickened by the art..[sorry if youre a fan of the series..I dont meant to affend anyone..])

Oh..my first noob question ..Is there a FAQ thingy for mangaupdates (or is it bakaupdates..)? I wasnt sure what the reading list, wish list, and complete list meant. I mean whats the difference? And what will happen if I put a series in one of the lists? Anyways..if someone would please explain some of the basic features here like the above..I would be much obliged.

for starters, Mangaupdates is an information site that give info on a manga series and shows you when a chapter or volume of manga has been scanslated, so as a heads up, no asking where or how to read/download manga.

and the list is to help you keep track of those releases since an icon appears beside the released chapter indicating you are reading it/finished reading it/want to read it or didn't like it...

the reading list is for manga you are currently reading, the complete list are for manga you've finished reading and the wish list is for manga you want to read but they haven't been scanslated yet...the unfinished list is for manga for whatever reason you stopped reading...it's to show you've read some of the manga but didn't like it...

And I knew about the no downloads thing. It took me a while though..
🤢 I came across this site months ago and wondered what the site was for if it didnt supply downloads or links and then after about the hundredth time crossing this site it finally dawned on me that it was suppose to help keep track of all of the series out in the world. 😃 So nice and useful! 🙂
