She had has to be strong or evil or both. I don't want something like black lagoon because it about the male and not the female. And there is no male lead or he isn't very important. I want the story to be about her and not the male lead. She also can't be a side character or less important. She has to be the main focus. Romance is not important but could be there but it can't be the main focus. I don't care what genre it is but no ecchi, hentai, rape, or harem. Reverse harem is fine.

Jormungand.

There is a significant male lead (a young boy) but the plot is mainly focussed on Koko.

Also, check out Anne Freaks.

Yeah, which would've been my first suggestion. A pity you're so new here, if you fill out your reading lists and make them public (or at least make them so when you're asking for suggestions) other members can see them and know what else you've already read so we don't waste your time suggesting them again 🙂

Ah well, also Hells Angels, In Full Bloom (YON Jae-Won), Kaibutsu Oujo, Satougashi no Dangan wa Uchinukenai, Shion no Ou and Teppu.

Sorry I don't have any more, but those are some pretty restrictive requirements you're setting.

Good luck finding something to read 🙂

You suggested some good one and yep I'm new and still trying to add all the manga O I have read there just to many and I forgot some of them. And yep I set some pretty strict parameters because I'm tired of the week annoying girls and stories about the main character that's a guy. Plus it wouldn't be a waste of time there could be some that have been suggested that I forgot the name to. I'll try to figure out how to make it public.

Yeah, right, that's the part that you find with a lot of strong female characters, it's that they're side / support characters or even if they are the main they're (overall) still sharing the spotlight........seems like maybe there were a couple others I thought might've been okay but yeah, the ecchi thing, you get that too, I guess "sex sells" even with strong female characters 😀

Yep I know I'm trying to look for some hidden gems. I hate that to many strong or evil females are supporting and when they are not they are weak and annoying. Plus ecchi ruins the story for me if it's tastefully done and not that much ecchi I'll consider it.

Alisa of the Silver Hair - Yo-Yo Girl Cop by the same author might fit, but I haven't read it and can't vouch for the content. The scanlation isn't far along anyhow.

Nausicaä

Franken Fran - I don't consider this ecchi, though it has been marked as such in the past. The covers are misleading. It certainly has nudity, but not typically in a fanservicey fashion.

None of these feature decidedly evil protagonists, though one could make an argument in each case. Another to consider that fails one of your requirements:

Gokusen - The male lead is of roughly comparable importance to the female lead, though he's not nearly as strong.

If you like action, you could try Battle Angel Alita. I think the sequel is better, though. Kind of hard to find an evil protagonist, however.

Or something like Fenglin Tianxia - Wangfei Shisansui I just finished reading this and fell in love with it.
