There is a thread about manga into anime but I'm more of a drama fan myself.
So what manga would you like to see as a drama? 🙂

On top of my head?
7 seeds, Pluto and Monster. But they would be great if they're adapted into live-action movies than dramas.
Mix vegetable, Death song, Shikeisyu 042 and Shinobi life are drama material 😃

Well, I am not really fan of drama, but it would be interesting to see these in live action movie or drama:
Aishiteruze Baby
Beast Master
Beauty Pop
Kare Kano
MAX Lovely!
Monkey High!
Ouran High School Host Club

I'm not a fan of seeing real people act as manga characters, but I think Flat (AOGIRI Natsu) would be my choice, mainly cos' I want to see the kid. 🤣
yes, Flat by Natsu Aogiri
Banana Fish
but I think Heptagon would be a good drama

I hear you say "Why?" Always "Why?" You see things; and you say "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say "Why not?"

I'd love to see some of these as a drama:
Ai Yori Aoshi
Ensemble (Yubi)
Chokotto Sister
Emma
Karin
Mahoraba
Samurai X (I know this is an ova, deal with it)
Suzuka
Unbalance x 2
I tried to pick some that should be kind of hard to mess up. Still, whether they messed up the live action adaptation or not, it wouldn't be able to tarnish the source material for me. I could pick more but meh, this is a good list of stuff I'd watch in live action form.

oh lol I was like wtf at these non-shoujo titles, then i realized I put it in the manga general section. 😐 oops.
I can imagine some of these listed as dramas. Most of them jdramas (imo they don't fit well with k/tw dramas)
7 seeds, Pluto and Monster. would make good movies. Well maybe one of the archs from 7 seeds, there is so many to choose from.
Flat would make a fantastic drama or movie.
Heptagon could potentially be an amazing drama, but I'd only watch if it was done really well.
I can't really imagine Red River or Basara as a typical asian drama. Maybe an HBO series for Red River and a mini series for Basara.
On adaptations I think it depends. I'm glad that Goong isn't so strict to the script, it wrapped up the story nicely and i'd have been so much more frustrated otherwise. I kinda wish Gokusen stuck closer, as far as interaction with her family went.

Nah, I recall seeing this in the shoujo/josei section. I was wondering where all these seinen titles came from or if you had simply posted it in the wrong section, but it seems someone has moved it...
As for shoujo, I'd love to see From Eroica With Love. Probably not drama material? But still I'd like to see an adaptation of it.

Bakuman maybe?
THAT would be awesome but it would be kinda hard to portray the manga's spirit though.
I'd love to see Ouran High School Host Club having a drama, but then again, the usual jdrama would turn it into just another cheesy romance and cast Horikita Maki as Haruhi. I'd rather no drama than THAT 😔

Haha, so true. I liked her in Nobuta wo Produce, but not so much in Hana Kimi. I don't think Hana Kimi was very well done (except for Nakatsu...he's the redeeming quality of the show). It didn't really capture the development of the romance between Sano and Mizuki. Anyway...
I think Gokinjo Monogatari would translate well into a drama. And I'd kind of like to see a live action Kodocha, just to see how they'd do Sana. Maybe Love! Love! Love!, too. I know there's a movie of Lovely Complex, but I think it needs a drama.

Preferably none, since I don't like "doramas" at all.
(I'm still trying to figure out why so many people like them so much- I've never seen such terrible acting)

okay that's what i thought, i wish it wasn't moved because i'm not really interested in shows that are not aimed at women. I mean I'll watch some but I'm pretty much strictly a romance or romcom fan. (And despite the fact that I like Karin, a shounen romance is very different than shojo)
I could see From Eroica With Love as a two season japanese drama.

You need to expand upon what you watch (try 1 Litre of Tears, 14 Sai No Haha, Goong or My Girlfriend is a Gumiho* ) Now I do personally prefer taiwanese and korean dramas to doramas but in general you are going to get a mix of great, mediocre and crappy acting, plots, settings, and characterizations. You just have to find something that works for you.
You know i wrote this long reason on why they're so popular but really the reason is people are entertained by them and get hooked. 🙂
for kdramas, i will keep coming back for this, all day everyday
