Apparently there's also a Death Note "mimic" called Lost+Brain.
I haven't tried it, but maybe you'd wanna give it a try.

Lost+Brain kinda fits what I'm looking for, aside from the fact its pretty much a copy of death note without death notes smarts...

death note
its a manga that really makes you think, because right and wrong are both clearly stated and grayed.
like the main character is Light, and L is his nemisis.
but which one is the hero or villain can be debated, not to spoil to much but Light has good morals, a strong sense of justice.
but he is killing off millions of criminals world wide in a genocide.
L is a detective who is out to take down "Kira" the mass murdered.
but he is very selfish, childish, and has no care for whats right
its very interesting
My Top manga:
- Yu-Gi-Oh!
- Death Note
- Fullmetal Alchemist
- Bakuman.
- Love Hina

Not sure if you're into this type of manga but:
Shamo
If you do check it out, don't be discouraged by the first couple chapters, it really picks up towards the middle of the first volume.

Bleach, maybe? Unfortunately the whole "turning into an evil monster"-thing doesn't begin until about book number twenty or so, and even then, Ichigo seldom transform...
You might however want to try Samurai Deeper Kyo. I mean, Kyo is pretty evil and Kyoshiro is... well... something... 😕
And last, but not least, GTO (does it really need a comment?).

Thanks for all the suggestions, even if the only one I'm not reading/completed/already dropped is Samurai.

Definitely Phantom - Requiem for the Phantom, shame it's not being scanned, but there's the anime (not the OVA) and visual novel if you've got the time...First impressions on the anime may turn you off, but I recommend you stick with it...Ep 5 especially is relevant to your interest.
Also try reading the Fate/Zero novels...

Thanks, Phantom was pretty interesting.
I'm already reading the Fate/Zero ones, though.
