One piece is a masterpiece by a genius mangaka. If it goes on for another 500 chapters I will still be sad to have it end. And what r u talking about? People die all the time in one piece. The giant that saved robin, zoro's childhood friend, nami's mom, ussop's mother, the doctor from chopper's story. And btw don't even get me started on level of emotion. The back stories of some of the main characters like zoro and nami were so emotional that the only thing that could even compare in Naruto are probably naruto and sasuke's emo flashbacks during their fight or the water country arc or mabye choji's battle with the fat guy (where he didn't die). And so far nothing in Naruto has ever gotten me as emotional as the Water 7 arc, especially since I had liked Robin from the beginning. That was some of the most emotional heartwrenching stuff i've ever read. One piece is not 4kids only. Haha pun on 4kids losing their rights to the show. Seriously funimation better do a good job with the voices. I heard their going to scrap everything that 4kids did and start over from ep. 1, with new voices and not nearly as much sensoring and the dvds will be uncut, supposedly. Awesome. 😃

I think that the majority of people already know this, but people only die in flashbacks. So yes people die, just not in the current time.

yupppp seems people only die in the flashbacks. havent seen one person die in the current timeline (well current timeline in the manga)
why back in the day we didn't 'download', we had to swim to japan if we wanted fresh anime and that was only if...
I dream of a better tomorrow... where chickens can cross roads and not have their motives questioned.

well, no one significant dies in the present timeline anyways in One Piece.
Although i do wonder about the bounty hunters zolo killed? at whispy peak, heck, it seems like zolo killed? a lot of nameless people in the present timeline...

If you want to read about important characters with a real backround get killed, read Claymore. One Piece isn´t that kind of manga, but of course it`s still a masterpiece.

Sure just recently people died in One Piece, it's pretty obvious that Rob Lucci & the rest of CP9 went down with Enies Lobby and died.
As far as the first guy coming back as a tiger in Naruto... what? this is a manga community, that never happened in the manga, it's called anime filler.

Well, primarily, Gold Roger died. It was hinted that Bellamy was killed...and...Arlong too, I believe. Don't really know who else. There hasn't been a side story with Captain Kuro, so I don't know about that.
I'll try to be nicer if you try to be smarter.

There had been a lot of character deaths in One Piece (as mentioned by other posters), Oda just doesn't like to kill his characters. But he said in SBS that Luffy doesn't kill his enemies because it's harsher to take destroy their dreams than to actually kill them (or something like that, I'm paraphrasing what I remember reading).
