Mahn-ga, mouth is a little wider than mon-ga

Probably the japanese way. "munga" . I do slip up though sometimes... "mahnga" or whatever other version or even pronouncing manga like "man" (as in English way) and "ga" (Japanese way).

i wither call them japanese comics, because most peopel dont have a frekaing clue what manga is and if i do say 'manga" i pronuce it "man" like man and "ga" i mean i have no clue how it supposed to be said. 😉

Ermmm... wait... it's not really "mu" but "ma" or something. I don't know how to type that out but I go by the way I've heard it on videos and stuff. I've no idea how to type out the pronunciation with all the correct accents like they do in dictionaries and stuff. And it's not like I know enough japanese either. ^^;;

I guess it's just following the japanese phonetic sounds(like ma, mi, mu, me mo) and "ga" (somewhat softer than "ka") and taking care not to drag the words or carry over the sounds like "nga". "ma --- n---ga" ま/ん/が　漫画 ?

I don't see what's the point in trying to spell it out in English at all, they still don't know how to pronounce it right. It's the English that doesn't make any sense and English words that you try to figure out the spelling for. There's no need to think about it in most languages: you can just read it. Like the point I made in my last post. And it's true that the easiest way is to write it in Japanese if you can't manage to pronounce it right other wise: マ・ン・ガ

Although it is the truest way to keep it in Japanese, it'd be pointless if no one could read it. Therefore, we just literally translated the characters into English and get "manga."

People are getting confused with pronouncing the letters in English or in Japanese.

Most people who pronounce it the English way usually pronouce with a capital "A".
M - ay - nga
People who stay true to the Japanese alphabet usually pronounce it with "uh."
M - uh -nga

Depends on who I'm talking to, and in what language.

Both "a"s clearly pronounced like in "party" -> manga.
Sounds way better than manga with "a" like "mango"!
(Same with matrix! Try saying matrix with the "a" from "party" but longer. Sounds great!)

But I rarely ever say the word. Well, more like never.

I get a lot of crap for it, but I say it the whitey way - "mayn-guh."

I sound like a real pretentious jerk-off when I pronounce it the 'correct' way, trust me. Plus, I have this tendency to adjust pronunciations to fit around my (supposedly non-existent/negligible, but I hear it!!) speech impediment. Anyone out there pronounce "salsa" as "sawl-zuh"?
