when I pronounce the first 'a' in manga (m[a]nga), I pronounce it the way you would pronounce the 'a' in the word 'cat', in an American, British, or Australian accent.
So...The only difference from the Japanese accent is the first 'a'.

I say it the Japanese way. Saying "Man-guh" (American accent) sounds like some weird ape-man talk.

I say the "a" like in "mango". When I use foreign words I like incorporating those words so they sound close to the language I'm speaking. I just think it sounds stilted when you have to use different accents when talking.

Even when I'm speaking Vietnamese, when I use English words in the sentence I use my Viet accent on them.

I don't actually think I've said it out loud before. In my head it's the whitenized way I guess.
