I don't know if a manga like this actually exists, but it is a topic I have been wanting to read. There may be a thread already but I couldn't find one through the search.

I want a character who hides her true self behind a clumsy,stupid persona, but is really beautiful and intelligent. Simply because she doesn't like the attention, or has no confidence in herself. If there could be some romance that would be great too.

Or

A character who has gone through significant change and has worked really hard to improve herself and image.

This came to mind when I was thinking back to my Sailor Moon Fanfiction reading days, when people would have Usagi runaway and come back with a new 'do, personality and brains. I liked these type of stories that portrayed her more intelligent side that they didn't show enough in the series.
