Hard to understand. Below average art. No plot explanation. The heroine is somewhat appealing, with her wanting-to-improve attitude and enduring all insults and cold treatment. The boy, however, is horrible. Bad development, the worst attitude. He worse than those bastard tsundere characters. He is so sarcastic and rude, yet he's able to smile while doing it. He expects the best treatment from his maid/bodyguard, and doesn't return the favor. A brat, simply put.

Nice art but doesn't cover up for its unimpressive storyline.
Cold male lead and a hyper maid/bodyguard..seriously, there are too much going on, and lots of insignificant characters appeared.I wonder where this one leads to, downhill or lowerconfused

Let's see... You have a mop fitted with a sword, a plush bear that shoots beams from its eyes when it's not doubling as a dagger of sorts, a wand thingy with a heart-shaped tip that's actually a mobile phone on disguise, multiple weapons (whips?!?) you can pull out from under your lingerie... The list goes on...

It has a good thing going with it and a very unique plot, but it was quite confusing. The art is great but some of the guys are looking alike and its sometimes hard for me to differentiate. However, I was kept interested while reading it. There are twists and turns I guess and a lot of secrets that are left unanswered. The mangaka kind of jumped into the story without that much background for any of the characters which is really really needed (especially the lead). But at the same time, there are hints at it and it will most likely be cleared up in future releases but the male lead is seriously annoying in a way but I still like him for whatever reason I like him. He's probably one of the most confusing leads I have ever read about in the odd way that he acts. It's one of those mangas where while you're reading you're quite confused but then once you're done and thinking back about the story, it'll probably be quite a refreshing read. I'm counting on the future releases to clear things up and provide a good ending (hopefully). I liked how the characters are quite complex and the humor is cute (:

Art is gorgeous... it's unfortunate because...

The plot is so damn awful. Okay. I lied. It's a really fantastic idea that became completely muddy. It's like when you get really excited trying to explain something and constantly skip over pieces, lots of ums and ahs.

It feels like the author had one idea for the story and then just kind of made sh** up after the first volume. I'm sorry but I do NOT want to SUDDENLY find out I'm reading a sci-fi the fourth volume in! You can't do that. And even if the author meant to provide more hints along the way, they were lost. She just wanted to do everything at once and it failed.

It's SO CONFUSING. I think the main reason being you don't really have a "main character". I know nothing about the Tomoe and know only the surface of his maid Shii and it's the fourth volume in. It took me 3 hours to get there. I felt like I was watching Cloud Atlas again.

In a story with such a convoluted plot, especially an action story, especially one where there is going to be "Surprise" sci-fi elements, you need a pillar. You need something or someone who keeps the reader grounded. The closest to that is the Kabuki actor but he is consistently pushed as a unimportant static character.

I will admit things start coming together around chapter 14, but it takes SO LONG to get to a stable place and even then it's only stable in the scope of the series, not a story that is done well.

first of, i really enjoy the story. i want to know more about the truth behind the annihilator and the main char coldness. however, the panelling suck big time here. the speech bubble is all over the place and overall the page look messy. to me everything goes too fast or too slow. in addition the actions in here dont flow, but that is expected of shoujo. i always find shoujo manga have a lot of 'still' poses where shounen the characters actually move. the setting is over the top and the characters even wierder. however, the main character still manage to make me interested.

i wont recommend this to anyone, but if you like cold protagonist, you may like this.

Right now (as of ch 13) we only have the smallest grasp on events unfolding in this manga. The maids, the secret of the maids, Shii's role in it, hell, even Tomoe's role are all still being defined for us as the world is made clearer. As has been noted, Tomoe is twisted, but he mostly stands back and watches things unfold so he can get a clearer picture of things. He does ruthlessly use Shii to his own advantage, but he's trying to keep a distance from her, since he doesn't even know her role in the scheme of things. Shii doesn't either, it seems. So although Shii is a powerful maid, and Tomoe is like a ninja (or something), we don't have enough of the core plot yet to determine what's going on. Weird, since it's ch 13, but it's mostly been character introduction, character growth, world rules being set, and rivalries being shown. Otherwise, Tomoe is a trip. I rather love that twisted side of his, but I like dark characters like him. Well, I like most of the characters regardless. I hope this will all be worth the read.

the subject says it all . . . all these comments about tomoe being 'hard to understand' 'nonsense' 'boring' and all are *i think* the comments of those shoujo manga readers who only like princely man with glittering eyes and flowers in the background nyahhaha , , ahem
obviously tomoe's character is so deep and dark its not so shallow that his emotions and actions says it all, he may seem 'ordinary' 'weird' and boring to those readers who loves typical shoujo guys especially the imbecilic readers .. . the story is fairly interesting because it doesnt reveal too much of the plot in the first few chapters . .. the characters grow and the fog in their personality are slowly disappearing as the story goes on .. . if you are a witty person who doesnt want coitus, moe moe moments and just want to read a pure and simple but meaningful and comedy manga . . . i recommend this series .. . dont expect flowers and hearts flying all over the place in this series though. (^v^)

Okay the violence not so much but the calculative characters like Tomoe is Ren on steroids when it comes to being secretive about his emotions not to mention he carries a huge load of emotional baggage as well and Shii is similar to Kyoko becuase they both tend to hide their emotions under the rug and worry about the most pressing matters in Shii's case the well being of Tomoe.

This might mean that the manga-ka also reads Skip Beat -yay-

I like the BDSM twist and the brutality of the characters both in their actions and words. The heroine and hero were both refreshingly complicated and interesting to read about. Especially, Tomoe who it seems by the cliffhanger of Chapter 8 of volume 2 is a full of surprises. Who knows maybe he has a hidden agenda under all the plain posterior?

BTW beautiful artwork, a solid and interesting plot (chess anyone >_<) & kick ass duo (yay for girl power)

Overall, this manga is perverted without pushing it, dynamic with the well rounded characters & the
enjoyable since it has comedy & violence!

I must say this is a excellent manga! Others say that the main character Tomoe is very weird, but he knows that he won't die for sure. The art is beautiful and this is probably one of the best mangas I've read!
Also, Tomoe isn't weak, he's capable of protecting himself without Shii. He just likes to tease Shii biggrin
Like in the part where Tomoe was capture for saving Shii, he easily escaped from the ropes and knocked the guard out. Also, in chapter 7 when he was surrounded by a girl ready to kill him, he was pretty ready to knock her out too. Tomoe was just testing Shii so he got caught on purpose.
