Crowbar and Eyehategod didn't really click for me but...Corrosion of Conformity is amazing. Damn you, really. If I get obsessed with them it's gonna be entirely your fault ;_;
As for the rest, I'll check them out when my net will stop hating me 🤢 .
Is Down is a separate band or does it refer to System of a Down? ...feels dumb

Er, yeah another underrated band: Arch Enemy. MOAR ANGELA PLZ~<3 (you can NEVER have enough growling frontwomen). In this moment has another screamo female vocalist, but her voice seems a bit too edited :-/
A Perfect Circle is pretty nice too, although a bit more well-known than most bands listed here 🙂

Down is a separate band. Also check out The Sword. It has like power metal/heavy metal vocals with a kind of thrash/gothic/sludge/groove feel to the riffs.

I'm eh on arch enemy. I think it's a little... gimmicky.

Green Day is one of the most popular bands on the face of the planet. They get more credit than they deserve. Also underrated just means that something deserves more credit than it gets. Saying that Green Day is underrated is like saying that Naruto is underrated.

Muse is definitely underrated though.

@Sakon: first off please learn proper punctuation (your posts are hard to read) and then learn what underrated and overrated means.

GD underrated=only when all their fangirls move to Mars or fall in a black hole.
Half of the world knows of Green Day and My Chemical Romance and Linkin Park and Fall Out Boy and Panic at the disco and Evanescence and stuff like that, so that's the first criteria that takes them out from being "underrated".
We'll make abstraction of quality and only focus on the fanbase.
You've all seen the fangirls...(oh god the fangirls...shudders) and how much they worship the ground those bands walk on...when obviously even for the best band ever out there that would be waay too much. So no matter what, even good but very popular bands will still be overrated, no matter what. Remeber that sellout is a completely different term *cough

Oh yeah right we're talking about underrated bands..>.<...soo...
@Ahoaho: Arch Enemy is still nothing compared to KISS or Dimmu Borgir, or Lordi for that matter. Yeah their lyrics and titles are a bit gimmicky but seeing as I can't understand a word of what they're singing, it doesn't matter to me 🙂
Speaking of gimmicks, I can't wait for this year's Eurovision to see if they'll fork out another Lordi or another drag queen in shiny aluminium foil (last year's Ukraine--HILARIOUS!)...but I'm disgressing again >.<

I never really gave Dimmu Borgir a proper listen, but I personally cannot stand black metal. And all black metal bands, save Cradle of Filth and maybe Children of Bodom are underrated. All the other ones are a kvlt as can be.

Yeah it seems like little Sam here jumped through time and posed in FHM..Oh and he's an idol too 😃 . I think I'm starting to like this guy...soo...what does...he...er...sing?

Oh that kind of gimmicky. True true, but I find it more of a pretty interesting deviation from the normal band than a gimmick.

I'm currently checking out the sword (Freya is pretty nice 🙂 ) and I'll have to listen some more before I can form a decent opinion.
Heard some Testament before I think but I'll have to check them out again.
Funny how I felt from the first seconds that the sword wasn't North European metal. American south metal has a distinct feel and I have to admit it's pretty good...I don't know why I've never got into it until now 🙂

Dimmu Borgir is pretty interesting, but nothing to write home about. I can't listen to them because I get these strange urges to burst off laughing when I hear them...they take themselves so seriously it's soo funny~ 🤣

@sakon: overrated means that they're played so much or that they're so "popular" that they become trite and cliched (it doesn't necessarily mean they're bad) underrated means that they're good but no one really knows that.
