hi, all I'm a newbie, just join this website a while ago.
How about feeder? I love this band but they are not so popular for unknown reasons 🤣 but it's okay, I can monopolize them for myself
Welcome to the forums, for a more proper welcome hop on to the intro thread 😀
@Sakon:
"The band recently obtained their first number 1 billboard single with "Breath"
Quoted off http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breaking_benjamin . I guess enough people know about them~...
@Lagito: I got curious about pajaro metal too and found two different bands...are you referring to those guys http://www.myspace.com/sinergiametal or those guys http://youtube.com/watch?v=UBxllb_ZxfE
...I doubt they're the same band, cause they sound damn different but I think.
The first ones sound more like "birds" (as in very, very, veeeery weird, reminds me of slapstick sitcoms for some reason >.<''), and there's nothing metal about them, while the second ones sound more like regular metal, but eeh~

butthole surfers are underrated imo
Yes, but with a name like Butthole Surfers, you don't exactly expect to be famous kinda like
Anal Cunt
Sepultura is underrated and so is The Mooney Suzuki.

Sevendust, Lostprophets, and Saosin are underrated. Even tho neither Sevendust's or Lostprophets' last album were anything close to amazing, its because this groups are underrated that the change there style.

^dude, you are super indy
Well, indie bands wouldn't be both indie and worth listening to if they weren't underrated. They're the obvious choices! My list of mainstream artists is much more expansive, but they're mainstream; they're recognized.

This may sound odd, but Sublime and Weezer are underrated. Yes, they are popular, and yes, they are successful, but they are completely unique and innovative in their respective genres.

Apartment 26?
(I'm really not that knowledgeable of the music scene, so I have no idea whether or not they're underrated... I just know that they aren't terribly well-known, if Wikipedia and YouTube are anything to go by.)

This thread has seemed to have morphed into the most obscure band you can think up thread.

Am I a trendsetter yet?
Like I said above, though, asking for underrated bands is a good way to get lists of indie bands. The good ones wouldn't be indie if they weren't underrated!

Or they could indie because they are not underrated, just not that great.

That would involve me listening to bad music.
Which I don't do. For every indie act I listen to, I listen to ten more mainstream acts and have passed up hundreds of terrible indie acts. It is true that sometimes, the indie acts I listen to are not indie for being unknown, but are rather indie due to some sort of indie hipster pride and as a result of having turned down the record labels have smaller audiences and are therefore underrated.
