I don't read hentai, just not particularly interested in it.

The only incest manga (shoujo/josei, not hentai) I've read that doesn't make me VERY VERY uncomfortable is when they're not blood related. Step-siblings, esp. when they didn't grow up together, I have zero problem with; I've read a couple of step-parent/step-child (taking place after the bio-parent died) that were fine too.

Genetically, there may be few problems (1% chance of defects, I think someone said?) when it happens occasionally, but if incest became more common then the birth defect rate would start to go up a lot, I think. The other issue with incest is when one person is in a position of power over the other (parent, aunt, older sibling, etc.) & may coerce/force the other even though they may not really want to participate.

Yep, hentai and non. I find the stories sometimes to be interesting, especially the non-hentai, just to see how they characters, and others around them, deal with it.
