I've seen a lot of posts/topics about people hating on shounen cliches. I also have those times when i get frustrated at an obvious ending or overused plot.
Which manga(s) that contain a lot of shounen cliches do you like best? For me Rave Master and Fairy Tail were really fun to read. They contained a lot of shounen cliches but MASHIMA Hiro made it work well.

You need to be more specific about your favorite clichés that happen to be in Rave Master and Fairy Tail. If not, this is just another "which is your favorite shounen" thread and a poorly formed thread at that.

No, Lelouche is voiced by Jun Fukuyama. Light is voiced by Mamoru Miyano. No, it's not an alias.
And those aren't cliches btw. You showed two examples of high school kids that gained power and want to change the world. In shounen manga, the cliches are high school kids that gained power but get pulled into some conflict because their powers are "special" and now they have to defeat some evil organization from taking over or destroying the world.

Flame of Recca. First manga series I ever completed. At the time I didn't shounen series had cliches, lol.
Anything by [a]Adachi Mitsurui[/a]: His shounen cliches aren't so bad because it fits into the story and doesn't seem contrived. Masterful works of art, imo.
Suzuka: takes your standard tsundere rom-com and makes it believable, surprisingly (minus the harem aspect anyway).
I can feel the heat of the incoming flames

Fairy Tail and Dragon Ball Z had some nice cliches and a good story, hero gets beaten, then gets up, and wins!

@Contently: I agree with you about Rave, it is a very good series because of what Mashima does with the series, I really felt for Let and I think his dragon was called Julia. I thought the powers and limits of the swords were quite interesting. I liked how there were consequences to using some of the weapons. The series had a good logic to it. Fairy Tail however, just feels riddled with cliches to me. I read the series until a couple of months ago then gave up, it felt too generic. Mayve I will give it another chance if I get bored.

Dragonball the prototype for shounen. I loved all 42 vols...the anime is crap but the volumes can be enjoyed.
Main char does 3 important things that goes again and again in most shounen of this kind. He trains, fights and sleep/eat/rests. Put this on a loop and you got most shounen out there. xDDDD
